AmaZulu vs Golden Arrows – click here to bet
AmaZulu have made an impressive start to the campaign, collecting 19 points from eight league fixtures to occupy 3rd position. Six victories, one draw and one defeat have been accompanied by 12 goals scored and 8 conceded.
Their latest appearance brought a 2-1 victory away over Durban City, extending their league winning streak to four matches. That sequence also included 1-0 victories over Polokwane City and Marumo Gallants, along with a 2-1 success at Richards Bay.
Golden Arrows sit 8th with 8 points from eight matches having picked up one victory, five draws and two defeats. Their fixtures have produced just 3 goals scored and 4 against them indicating the tight nature of their results.
Arrows suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Milford in their most recent outing and have now gone four games without being in the winning column. Before that, they drew 0-0 with Kaizer Chiefs and 1-1 with Siwelele after losing 2-1 to Sundowns. Their only victory came through a narrow 1-0 home success over Stellenbosch in August.
Head-to-Head:
AmaZulu have won three of the last six meetings, with two draws and one Golden Arrows victory. That record includes AmaZulu’s 3-2 friendly win in July 2025.
Last season’s league encounters saw AmaZulu claim a 1-0 away victory before the reverse fixture ended 1-1 in May.
Odds: AmaZulu 2.15 | Draw 3.40 | Golden Arrows 3.85
Verdict:
Golden Arrows have been difficult to break down, conceding only four goals in eight league fixtures. Five draws suggest they are capable of frustrating opponents, although their limited attacking return has made victories difficult to secure.
AmaZulu arrive with four consecutive league wins and have shown they can come through closely contested matches. Two of those victories finished 1-0, which should provide encouragement against an Arrows side likely to keep things tight.
The visitors will make this another competitive encounter but AmaZulu’s momentum and greater threat in front of goal give them the edge. I am backing the hosts to extend their winning run at a decent price.
Bet: AmaZulu to win at 2.15

Stellenbosch vs Chippa United – click here to bet
Stellenbosch extended their unbeaten league run to four matches with a 1-1 draw away to Kaizer Chiefs in their latest outing. That result followed a narrow 1-0 victory at Kruger United and draws against Sekhukhune United and Durban City.
That sequence has taken Stellenbosch to 7th position after collecting 10 points from their eight matches played. They have registered two victories, four draws and two defeats, scoring 9 goals while letting 8 past their keeper.
Chippa United suffered a setback in their most recent appearance, losing 1-0 at home to Kruger United after securing their first league victory of the campaign by the same scoreline away to TS Galaxy.
Before those results, Chippa drew three consecutive matches, holding Sundowns and Siwelele to 1-1 scorelines either side of a goalless encounter with Milford. This leaves them sitting 9th on the table with 8 points collected due to recording one victory, five draws and two defeats.
Head-to-Head:
Stellenbosch are unbeaten in the last six meetings, recording three victories and three draws.
They collected four points from the two league encounters last season, drawing 0-0 away before winning 2-1 at home in March. Stellenbosch have also won their last two home meetings against Chippa.
Odds: Stellenbosch 2.35 | Draw 3.25 | Chippa United 3.40
Verdict:
Chippa have already demonstrated their ability to frustrate strong opposition, taking a point off Sundowns during their recent run. However, scoring just four goals in eight league matches leaves them with little room for defensive mistakes.
Stellenbosch have been collecting points steadily and head into this fixture unbeaten in four league appearances. Their recent results have been narrow but home advantage and a favourable record against Chippa strengthen their claims.
A closely contested match looks likely, with the draw a consideration given both teams’ results this season. Nevertheless, Stellenbosch have shown slightly more in attack, and I am picking them to edge this encounter.
Bet: Stellenbosch to win at 2.35
Mamelodi Sundowns vs Durban City – click here to bet
Mamelodi Sundowns lead the standings with 23 points from nine league fixtures after earning seven victories and settling for two draws. The side has been effective on attack scoring 23 times while their defence has held strong conceding just 8 goals.
Their latest league appearance produced a convincing 4-1 victory away to Richards Bay, following a 1-1 draw at Chippa United. Prior to those results Sundowns registered three consecutive victories, beating Siwelele 3-0, Golden Arrows 2-1 and Milford 2-0.
Durban City head into this encounter looking to end a four match winless run after losing 2-1 at home to AmaZulu earlier this month. They had previously drawn 1-1 away to Milford, suffered a 2-0 defeat at Orlando Pirates and shared a goalless draw with Stellenbosch.
Their only league victory remains a 2-0 success away to Kruger United and with one win, four draws and three defeats the side holds 10th spot on the table while possessing a goal difference of -2.
Head-to-Head:
Mamelodi Sundowns have won four of the last six meetings, with Durban City recording one victory and the remaining encounter ending level.
Sundowns won both league fixtures last season, picking up a 3-1 home victory before edging the reverse encounter 1-0 in April. Notably they have won the last three meetings, conceding only once across those matches.
Odds: Mamelodi Sundowns 1.33 | Draw 5.00 | Durban City 9.00
Verdict:
Durban City have generally kept their matches competitive, conceding seven goals in eight league appearances. However, their limited attacking return is a concern ahead of a demanding trip to face the leaders.
Sundowns have collected 13 points from their last five league fixtures, scoring 12 goals during that sequence and their convincing triumph over Richards Bay provided another example of their attacking threat.
The visitors could make Sundowns work for their opportunities but the hosts’ unbeaten start and strong recent record in this fixture make them clear favourites. I believe Sundowns are on track to collect another three points without conceding.
