CHELSEA vs MANCHESTER UNITED
Chelsea occupy fifth position on the table with 13 points from eight league fixtures, having recorded four victories, one draw and three defeats. They have scored 17 goals while conceding 15, with their latest outing ending in a disappointing 2-0 home defeat against Tottenham.
That setback followed consecutive victories over Everton and Bournemouth, winning 2-0 away and 5-1 at home respectively.
Manchester United suffered a heavy 3-0 home defeat against Bournemouth last weekend, bringing an end to a sequence of three consecutive 1-1 draws. That result left them in 16th position with seven points from eight fixtures and a goal difference of -3.
United had previously shared the points with Leeds, Tottenham and Fulham after losing the Manchester derby 1-0 at Old Trafford.
Head-to-Head
Manchester United won both league meetings last season, claiming a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford in September before securing a 1-0 success at Stamford Bridge in April.
United have won three of the last six league encounters, with Chelsea claiming two victories and the remaining fixture ending level.

Chelsea 1.87

Manchester United 4.00
Verdict
Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Tottenham, and their attacking form and home advantage give them the edge. United won both meetings last season but are now winless in five league matches and struggling for confidence.
The Blues look the more likely winners, and I’m backing them to take all three points.
BET: Chelsea to Win at 1.87
MANCHESTER CITY vs BRIGHTON
Manchester City lead the standings with 21 points from eight matches after winning seven and losing one, scoring 20 goals and conceding nine. Their perfect league record ended last weekend when Aston Villa claimed a 2-1 victory.
City had previously beaten Ipswich 3-2, Liverpool 3-0, Sunderland 5-3 and Manchester United 1-0.
They responded to the Villa defeat by edging Brighton 3-2 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and now face the same opponents again at the Etihad Stadium.
Brighton saw their four-match league winning streak come to an end with a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool last weekend. Despite that setback, they remain third with 16 points from eight fixtures, having scored 23 goals while conceding just seven.
Their winning sequence included victories over Coventry, Arsenal, Sunderland and Crystal Palace, scoring 15 unanswered goals across those four matches.
Head-to-Head
Manchester City won Wednesday’s Carabao Cup meeting 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
Brighton took four points from last season’s league encounters, winning 2-1 at home before drawing 1-1 away in January. City have not beaten Brighton in the Premier League since April 2024.

Manchester City 1.65
Draw 4.50
Brighton 4.75
Verdict
Brighton have caused City problems in recent meetings, but the hosts have been the more consistent side this season and will take confidence from Wednesday’s cup victory.
Brighton have enough attacking quality to get on the scoresheet, although I’m backing City to come out on top. With the under 4.5 goals line allowing for results such as 2-1 or 3-1, the combination bet appeals.

TOTTENHAM vs CRYSTAL PALACE
Tottenham sit 14th in the league with nine points, having registered two victories, three draws and three defeats. Their return of eight goals scored and 10 conceded reflects a difficult start, although consecutive victories have improved their recent outlook.
Spurs followed a 3-1 home win over Coventry with an impressive 2-0 victory over Chelsea last weekend.
Those results came after a 1-1 draw with Manchester United, a 3-2 home defeat against Aston Villa and a goalless stalemate with Everton.
Crystal Palace arrive following consecutive defeats without scoring, losing 5-0 against Brighton before going down 2-0 at home to Newcastle. Those setbacks have left them in 17th position with seven points from eight matches.
They had previously beaten Nottingham Forest 3-1 after a goalless draw with Leeds, while a 3-2 home defeat against Ipswich completes their last five league results.
Head-to-Head
The away side won both league meetings last season. Tottenham claimed a 1-0 victory at Selhurst Park in December before Palace responded with a 3-1 success at Spurs in March.
The last six league encounters have produced three victories apiece without a draw, with Palace winning their last two league visits to Tottenham.

Tottenham 1.57
Draw 4.75
Crystal Palace 5.50
Verdict
Tottenham appear to be finding some form, and their recent attacking improvement gives them a good chance of making it three wins in succession.
Palace have conceded seven goals in their last two league matches, but their recent record at Spurs suggests they could still pose a threat going forward. I fancy Tottenham to win, although Palace may well grab a goal, making the home win and both teams to score an attractive option.
