RAYO VALLECANO vs CELTA VIGO
Saturday, 31 October – 17:15 (SAST)
Rayo Vallecano sit 16th in the standings with nine points from nine matches, having recorded two wins, three draws and four defeats. They have scored 12 goals and conceded 20.
Their latest outing ended in a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Elche, which followed a 1-1 away draw against Getafe.
Rayo have struggled defensively this season, conceding more than two goals per match on average, and will need to tighten things up against Celta.
Celta Vigo are ninth with 12 points from ten matches, having won twice, drawn six and lost twice. They have scored ten goals and conceded just seven.
Their latest match finished goalless against Real Betis, having previously beaten Alaves 2-1.
Celta have been difficult to break down, but their tendency to draw matches has prevented them from climbing higher up the table.
Head-to-Head
Rayo Vallecano have won two of the last six meetings between these sides, with Celta Vigo winning once and the other three matches ending in draws.
Betting
Rayo Vallecano 2.45
Draw 3.40
Celta Vigo 3.15
Verdict
Rayo’s defensive record is a concern, particularly after conceding three at home to Elche. Celta have been far more reliable at the back and should get opportunities against a vulnerable home defence.
The visitors have drawn plenty of matches, but at 3.15 I’m prepared to take a chance on them turning one of those draws into a victory.
BET: Celta Vigo to Win at 3.15

BARCELONA vs DEPORTIVO ALAVES
Saturday, 31 October – 22:00 (SAST)
Barcelona lead the standings with 27 points from ten matches, having won nine and lost one. They have scored an impressive 40 goals while conceding 11.
Their latest outing ended in a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in El Clasico, following an emphatic 5-2 away victory over Real Betis.
Barcelona are averaging four goals per league match and will be looking for an immediate response in front of their home supporters.
Deportivo Alaves are seventh with 12 points from ten matches, having won three, drawn three and lost four. They have scored 14 goals and conceded 11.
Their latest match ended in a 1-1 draw against Malaga, following a 2-1 away defeat to Celta Vigo.
Alaves have shown they can find the net, but they face a difficult assignment against the league leaders.
Head-to-Head
Barcelona have won five of the last six meetings between these sides, although Alaves claimed a 1-0 home victory in their most recent encounter in May 2026.

Barcelona 1.12
Draw 11.00
Deportivo Alaves 21.00
Verdict
Barcelona will be determined to bounce back from their El Clasico defeat, and with 40 goals in ten matches, it’s difficult to see Alaves containing them.
Alaves have scored regularly enough to pose some risk to a clean sheet, but Barcelona’s home advantage and superior quality should allow them to control proceedings. Rather than taking the short match-result price, I’m backing the hosts to win without conceding.

ATHLETIC BILBAO vs REAL SOCIEDAD
Sunday, 1 November – 22:00 (SAST)
Athletic Bilbao are eighth with 12 points from nine matches, having won three, drawn three and lost three. They have scored 12 goals and conceded nine.
Their latest outing brought an impressive 4-0 home victory over Getafe, following a goalless draw away to Valencia.
Athletic have been reasonably solid defensively this season, and the four goals against Getafe will have given them a timely confidence boost ahead of the Basque derby.
Real Sociedad are fifth with 19 points from ten matches, having won six, drawn one and lost three. They have scored 19 goals but conceded 18.
Their latest result was a 2-1 victory over Levante, following a convincing 5-2 away win against Malaga.
Sociedad have shown plenty of attacking quality, although their defensive record leaves them vulnerable, particularly away from home.
Head-to-Head
Real Sociedad have won three of the last six meetings, with Athletic Bilbao winning once and the other two ending in draws.
Athletic’s victory came in a club friendly in early October, when they won 1-0 away to Sociedad.

Athletic Bilbao 2.20
Draw 3.75
Real Sociedad 3.25
Verdict
Both teams arrive with confidence after impressive attacking performances, and this derby looks evenly matched.
Athletic have home advantage and scored four last time out, while Sociedad have found the net seven times in their last two matches. With Sociedad also conceding 18 goals this season, I fancy both sides to get on the scoresheet and am betting we get at least 4 goals.
BET: Over 3.5 goals at 2.60
