FRIDAY:
SEVILLA vs VALENCIA
Sevilla occupy 7th position overall with 7 points from their opening four matches. They began with victories over Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Bilbao before suffering a 3-1 home defeat against Atletico Madrid.
In their last match they held Espanyol to a 1-1 draw away from home as slight underdogs. Notably Sevilla have found the net in every league fixture but are yet to keep a clean sheet.
Valencia remain rooted to the bottom of the table after collecting only 1 point from four matches. Their campaign began with a goalless draw against Celta Vigo before consecutive defeats to Real Betis and Deportivo La Coruna.
Their struggles deepened last weekend as Barcelona handed them a heavy 5-0 home defeat and they will be desperate to pick up their first win of the season.
Head-to-Head
Valencia are unbeaten in the last six meetings, recording three victories alongside three draws. The teams clashed twice last season where the first match was drawn 1-1 and the reverse leg saw Valancia earn a 2-0 win on the road.

Sevilla 2.15
Draw 3.25
Valencia 3.85
Verdict
Valencia have enjoyed the stronger head-to-head record, but their current form is extremely concerning and hard to overlook. Sevilla have collected points in three of their four fixtures and should take advantage of a visiting side that has conceded eight times across their last two matches. I am backing Sevilla to come out of this matchup with another win under their belt.
BET: Sevilla to Win at 2.15
SATURDAY:
REAL MADRID vs RAYO VALLECANO
Real Madrid head into the weekend sitting 3rd on the table after accumulating 9 points from four matches. They kicked off the season with three consecutive victories, beating Espanyol before recording comfortable home wins over Real Sociedad and Malaga.
Their perfect start ended with a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Real Betis last weekend and Madrid will now look to respond at home, where they have scored eight goals and let just one slip across the two matches.
Rayo Vallecano have collected 4 points and are holding the 14th spot in the rankings with a -3 goal difference heading into round 5. They followed an opening defeat against Sevilla with a 1-1 draw against Alaves before losing 5-2 away to Barcelona.
Despite that Rayo claimed their first victory of the campaign a week ago, overcoming Racing Santander 3-2 at home.
Head-to-Head
Real Madrid are unbeaten across the last six meetings, although four of those encounters ended level. Both of Madrid’s victories during that period came through narrow 2-1 scorelines at home with one triumph in 2025 and the other in 2026.

Real Madrid 1.14
Draw 10.00
Rayo Vallecano 20.00
Verdict
Rayo have regularly made this a difficult fixture although their defensive record leaves little room for confidence, particularly on opposition turf. Real Madrid should respond strongly to their defeat against Betis and secure a fourth league victory, but I am expecting Rayo to put up a fight with at least a goal of their own as they did against Barcelona.
BET: Result and Both Teams to Score – Real Madrid and Yes at 2.60
SUNDAY:
LEVANTE vs BARCELONA
Levante sit 11th on the log after earning 5 points from their opening four matches. Their first action resulted in a 3-0 defeat against Espanyol before recording goalless draws against Osasuna and Malaga.
Their standout performance came at home against Real Betis, where they produced an impressive attacking display to claim a 5-2 victory two weekends ago.
Barcelona lead the LaLiga standings with a perfect 12 points from four games. The defending champions have scored 17 goals and allowed their opposition to breach their keeper only twice during a dominant start to the season.
After victories over Elche, Athletic Bilbao and Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona maintained their momentum by thrashing Valencia 5-0 away from home.
Head-to-Head
Barcelona have won five of the last six meetings, with the remaining fixture ending in a draw. The champions completed the league double last season, winning 3-2 away before recording a 3-0 home triumph.

Levante 16.00
Draw 9.00
Barcelona 1.16
Verdict
Levante have shown they can be dangerous at home, especially during their five-goal display against Betis. However, Barcelona have been ruthless in attack and should have too much quality for the hosts in terms of defensive stability. I am backing Barcelona to get the job with ease and will back them to beat a 2 goal handicap.
BET: Asian Handicap, Barcelona -2.5 goals at 2.05

REAL SOCIEDAD vs ATLETICO MADRID
Real Sociedad lost their opening fixture against Real Betis before suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat away to Real Madrid.
Sociedad have improved since then, defeating Espanyol 2-1, drawing with Celta Vigo and claiming an entertaining 3-2 victory away to Elche in their latest outing which leaves them in 9th on the table with an aggregate goal difference of 6 for and 8 against.
Atletico Madrid have also accumulated 7 points, although they have played one match fewer and begin the weekend in 6th place. They opened the 2026/27 run with a 2-0 win over Malaga before drawing 2-2 with Villarreal.
A convincing 3-1 victory away to Sevilla followed but Atletico were brought back down to earth when Athletic Bilbao defeated them 3-0 last weekend in what was set to be a tight encounter.
Head-to-Head
Across the last six meetings in all competitions, Atletico Madrid have recorded three victories, Real Sociedad have won once, and two matches have ended in a draw. The most recent meeting between the sides was in the 2026 Copa Del Rey where Real Sociedad claimed a shocking 3-2 win.
Prior to this they met twice during the league last term where Atletico Madrid bounced back from a 1-1 draw to win the second game 3-2 at home.

Real Sociedad 2.90
Draw 3.65
Atletico Madrid 2.45
Verdict
Real Sociedad enter the contest with improved momentum, while Atletico will be forced to recover from a disappointing defeat in Bilbao and a midweek Champions League loss to Liverpool.
I am betting on a home win here.
BET: Real Sociedad to Win at 2.90
