The PSL midweek fixtures continue on Wednesday the 6th of May with two exciting fixtures getting our betting interest. AmaZulu welcome Golden Arrows in what should be a competitive clash while Mamelodi Sundowns host Kaizer Chiefs in a blockbuster encounter that will have a huge bearing on the title race. We take a closer look at both matches from a betting perspective below.
AmaZulu vs Golden Arrows – click here to bet
AmaZulu currently sit 4th on the table with 42 points from 26 matches and have produced a solid campaign overall. They have recorded twelve wins, six draws and eight defeats while scoring 30 goals and conceding 26.
AmaZulu secured an emphatic 5-1 home victory over Chippa United in their latest outing after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates which followed a 1-1 draw with Siwelele.
Golden Arrows have picked up 35 points from their 26 trips to the pitch which leaves them in 8th. They have shown flashes of quality throughout the season but have struggled for consistency, finding the net 31 times while shipping 32 at the back.
Arrows played out a goalless draw with Siwelele in their most recent match after recording a 2-1 away victory over Orbit College and prior to that they had clinched a 1-0 home win against Durban City.
Head-to-Head:
AmaZulu have had a slight edge in recent meetings between the sides, winning all three of their latest encounters including a 1-0 away victory earlier this season and a 3-2 win during a club friendly just over a year ago.
Odds: AmaZulu 2.05 | Draw 3.25 | Golden Arrows 4.00
Verdict:
AmaZulu come into this clash off the back of a strong result and possess a more consistent defensive setup while Golden Arrows have shown vulnerability at the back although they are on a 3 match unbeaten run. This should be competitive like recent meetings between the teams, but the hosts appear better equipped to edge it and I think they worth backing at anything over 2.00.
Bet: AmaZulu to Win at 2.05

Mamelodi Sundowns vs Kaizer Chiefs – click here to bet
Mamelodi Sundowns have taken firm control at the top of the table with 64 points and now sit 2 points clear of Orlando Pirates with both teams having 3 matches to play. They have scored 47 goals while conceding just 13 overall.
They secured a convincing 3-0 home victory over Polokwane City in their latest outing after edging Polokwane 1-0 away from home just a few days before. Prior to that they drew 0-0 with Richards Bay and they have gone since September 2025 without a loss in the league.
Kaizer Chiefs have enjoyed a strong season and been able to build up 47 points on the log across their 26 appearances. They have netted 29 goals while just 17 shots have beat their keeper and they will be determined to finish the season on the podium with four games to play.
Chiefs suffered a shocking 2-0 defeat to Siwelele last week after playing out a 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates which came after a goalless stalemate with Polokwane City on opposition soil. They have now gone 3 PSL games without a win.
Head-to-Head:
The last meeting between the sides came in August where they drew 0-0 at Chiefs home ground despite Sundowns entering as comfortable favourites. A few months before that Chiefs pulled off a 2-1 triumph in the 2025 Nedbank Cup as well, although the 2024/25 season saw Sundowns win all three of their fixtures in league and Cup.
Odds: Mamelodi Sundowns 1.53 | Draw 4.00 | Kaizer Chiefs 7.50
Verdict:
Mamelodi Sundowns have been nearly impossible to break down in the league and continue to deliver consistent performances both home and away. Kaizer Chiefs are capable of making this competitive, but Sundowns are worthy favourites. I am expecting the hosts to secure another important victory, with both sides finding the net.
Bet: Result and Both Teams to Score – Mamelodi Sundowns and Yes at 4.75
