We look at the standalone English Premier League fixture taking place on Monday the 13th of April between Manchester United and Leeds from a betting angle, before settling on a suggested bet.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Arsenal remains favourites at 1.60 but have drifted considerably after their shock 2-1 home loss to Bournemouth on the weekend. They are followed by Manchester City who now trail by 6 points with a game in hand at 2.20, with Manchester United priced at 501.00.

MANCHESTER UNITED vs LEEDS
Manchester United occupy 3rd position on the table with 55 points from 31 matches and remain firmly in contention for a top three finish. Their recent form has been solid, having secured three wins from their last five league outings.
They come into this clash after a 2-2 draw away to Bournemouth, which followed an impressive 3-1 home victory over Aston Villa. Prior to that they suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Newcastle but previously had picked up wins over Crystal Palace and Everton. United have scored 56 goals while conceding 43, highlighting a strong attacking unit but a defence that can be exposed.
Leeds United sit 15th on the table on 33 points from 31 fixtures and continue to hover above the relegation zone. Their recent performances have been underwhelming, particularly in attack. They played out consecutive goalless draws against Brentford and Crystal Palace in their last two outings, following back-to-back 1-0 defeats to Sunderland and Manchester City.
Prior to that they managed a 1-1 draw away to Aston Villa. Leeds have netted 37 goals and let 48 breach their backline, underlining their struggles in both departments, especially going forward where goals have been hard to come by.
Head-to-Head
Recent meetings between the sides have been competitive. The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw while they also settled for a 0-0 stalemate in a club friendly in 2025.

Verdict
Manchester United come into this fixture in stronger overall form and possess significantly more attacking quality, particularly at home where they have been difficult to beat. Leeds have struggled to find the net in recent matches and their lack of cutting edge is a major concern heading into this clash.
While Leeds may look to frustrate and keep things tight, United’s superior quality and momentum should ultimately prove decisive.
Here are some potential plays I am considering:
- Manchester United to Win at 1.57 (a bit shorter than I normally play)
- Match result and Both Teams to Score, Manchester United and NO at 2.80
- Asian Handicap Manchester United -1.5 goals at 2.45
- Correct Score 2-0 at 9.00
Bet: Match result and Both Teams to Score, Manchester United and NO at 2.80
