Saturday
Valencia v Real Madrid
Valencia are 19th in the standings with nine points from 11 matches, having won two, drawn three and lost six. They have scored eight goals and conceded 17.
Valencia come into this fixture after recording a 1-0 victory over Elche in their latest league match. Their position near the bottom of the table highlights the difficult start they have made, and they will need to improve their attacking output against one of the league’s leading sides.
Real Madrid are third with 27 points from 11 matches. They have won nine and lost two, scoring 28 goals and conceding 10.
Madrid have been strong going forward, with only Barcelona having scored more goals in the league. They will be looking to maintain pressure on the teams above them with another three points.
Head-to-Head
Real Madrid have won three of the last five league meetings, with Valencia winning once and one match ending in a draw. Four of those five encounters produced more than 2.5 goals, while both teams scored in three.

Valencia 9.50
Draw 6.50
Real Madrid 1.31
Verdict
Real Madrid are clear favourites, having won nine of their 11 league matches and scored 28 goals. Valencia have struggled for consistency and have scored only eight goals so far. The visitors should have enough quality to secure the win, and the recent head-to-head record also points towards the possibility of goals.

Sunday
Real Sociedad v Rayo Vallecano
Real Sociedad are fifth in the standings with 19 points from 11 matches, having won six, drawn one and lost four. They have scored 20 goals and conceded 20.
They come into this match after a 2-1 defeat away to Athletic Bilbao. Sociedad have nevertheless enjoyed a reasonably strong start to the campaign and will be looking to get back to winning ways at home.
Rayo Vallecano are 12th with 12 points from 10 matches. They have won three, drawn three and lost four, scoring 15 goals and conceding 20.
Rayo produced an impressive 3-0 victory over Celta in their latest league outing. They will take confidence from that result as they travel to face a Sociedad side that has been inconsistent defensively.
Head-to-Head
Rayo have had the better of the recent meetings, winning two of the last five, with the other three ending in draws. Three of those matches produced more than 2.5 goals, and both teams scored in three.

Real Sociedad 1.71
Draw 4.25
Rayo Vallecano 4.75
Verdict
Real Sociedad have the stronger league position and home advantage, but Rayo’s recent record against them suggests this could be a competitive fixture. I am expecting goals in this fixture and will bet that we get 4 or more.
BET: Over 3.5 goals at 2.35
Atletico Madrid v Barcelona
Atletico Madrid are second in the standings with 28 points from 11 matches, having won nine, drawn one and lost one. They have scored 22 goals and conceded only eight.
Atletico come into this important fixture after a 2-0 victory over Levante. Their defensive record has been particularly impressive, and they will be looking to close the gap on league leaders Barcelona.
Barcelona are top of the table with 30 points from 11 matches. They have won 10 and lost one, scoring an outstanding 46 goals and conceding 12.
Barcelona recorded a convincing 6-1 victory over Alaves in their latest league match. Their attacking form has been exceptional, and they will be confident of maintaining their position at the top of the standings.
Head-to-Head
Barcelona have won the two most recent league meetings between the sides, beating Atletico 3-1 in December 2025 and 2-1 in April 2026.

Atletico Madrid 3.75
Draw 4.50
Barcelona 1.87
Verdict
This is a meeting between the top two sides, with only two points separating them. Atletico have been defensively strong, but Barcelona’s 46 goals in 11 matches underline their attacking threat. The Catalans have also won the two most recent league meetings, and their current form makes them a tempting selection to take all three points.
BET: Match Result – Barcelona win at 1.87
