British Masters 2026 Betting Preview

The DP World Tour continues its European swing this week with the British Masters at The Belfry, another huge event as we head towards the business-end of the Race to Dubai.

Tyrrell Hatton heads the market as the standout name in the field this week, but there is a stacked leaderboard of English talent behind him, with plenty of familiar names returning from the PGA Tour and looking to build up their points at home.

Course

The Belfry is one of the most historic and instantly recognisable golf venues in the World, having hosted four Ryder Cups (1985, 1989, 1993 and 2002) and being a firm fixture on the DP World Tour schedule for decades. The Brabazon Course, which hosts the British Masters, is a classic parkland layout that requires strong strategic thinking rather than pure power off the tee. Water hazards are a constant threat across the layout, most notably on the famous par 4 10th and the closing par 4 18th, both of which have delivered so much drama across the years and will continue to do so this week.

Given the length and layout of The Belfry, driving accuracy and iron play are going to be the two key stats we lean on this week. Winning scores here typically land around the -10 to -16 mark, so this is not a course where players will be firing at every pin. Course management, patience through the tougher stretches, and taking your chances on the reachable par 5s tend to separate the contenders from the field. Familiarity with the venue is also often a huge factor at The Belfry given how many DP World Tour players have teed it up here many times over the years.

Tyrrell Hatton heads the market at 13.00 as the class name in the field this week and the standout home favourite. Patrick Reed and Matt Wallace share second billing at 19.00, followed by Keita Nakajima at 21.00 and Marco Penge at 23.00. Tom McKibbin and Harry Hall round out the top of the boards at 26.00 apiece. There is plenty of quality at the top of the market and no shortage of value to be found across the each-way selections this week.

SELECTIONS:

Matt Wallace at 19.00

Wallace makes his return to the DP World Tour from the PGA Tour after missing the FedEx Cup playoffs, however, he arrives in some top form. His last two finishes on the PGA Tour saw him grab a 5th-place finish at the Rocket Classic, followed up by a 7th at the Wyndham Championship the following week. Wallace also finished in the top 10 at The Belfry back in 2024, showing he has the game to compete around this layout. With his current form, his course history and the added lift of being back on home soil in front of a supportive crowd, we like him as a very strong each-way pick at 19.00.

Suggested bet: Matt Wallace each way at 19.00.

Andy Sullivan at 41.00

Sullivan is our outside shot of the week at 41.00, and we are choosing him based off his excellent record at the British Masters. In his last six starts at this tournament he has secured one top-five, two top-tens and a top-15 finish, which is an outstanding record at any DP World Tour event. His best finish came last year, where he finished fifth after four days. Sullivan is also coming into this week off the back of an impressive finish at last week’s Nexo Championship in Scotland, where he managed to finish third. With course history and current form both firmly in his corner, we like him as a bigger-price each-way pick at 41.00.

Suggested bet: Andy Sullivan each way at 41.00.

Harry Hall at 26.00

Our final pick of the week is another Englishman returning from the PGA Tour to home soil. Harry Hall had a solid year on the PGA Tour, making it to the first round of the FedEx Cup knockouts, where he was able to finish 24th, though unfortunately that wasn’t enough to get him through to the next stage. He had a strong performance the week before at the Wyndham Championship, where he was able to finish in fifth place. Hall has made a real name for himself on the PGA Tour, and we think we could see some very impressive finishes from him as he returns to the DP World Tour for the remainder of the season.

Suggested bet: Harry Hall each way at 26.00.
