IPSWICH TOWN vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Ipswich Town produced a competitive display in their latest outing but suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat away to Manchester City. That result followed a 2-1 home victory against Fulham, leaving Ipswich in 10th position with nine points from seven fixtures.
Their previous results include a 0-2 home defeat against Liverpool, a 3-2 victory away to Crystal Palace and a 1-0 loss at Everton. Ipswich have scored 11 goals this season, although conceding 15 highlights the defensive improvements needed as they look to consolidate their mid-table position in the standings.
Nottingham Forest enter this contest in 19th position with five points after winning only one of their opening seven matches. They suffered a 0-1 home defeat against Arsenal last time out, extending their losing run to three fixtures.
That sequence also included a 0-1 home loss against Coventry City and a 3-1 defeat away to Crystal Palace. Forest’s only league victory came away to Aston Villa, where they won 2-1 in September, but they have managed just five goals across their seven appearances.
Head-to-Head:
Nottingham Forest won both league meetings between the clubs during the 2024/25 season, claiming a narrow 1-0 home victory before beating Ipswich 4-2 at Portman Road.
The previous league encounter at Ipswich ended 1-1 in March 2019 and Forest have avoided defeat in all six of the meetings between the teams in recent years.

Ipswich Town 3.15
Draw 3.50
Nottingham Forest 2.30
Verdict:
Ipswich should take encouragement from scoring twice against Manchester City, while their victory over Fulham in their previous home fixture gives them something to build on.
Nottingham Forest have enjoyed the better of recent meetings, although their current form makes them difficult to support at a relatively short price. Three consecutive defeats and only five league goals suggest the visitors could struggle to take full advantage of Ipswich’s defensive weaknesses.
On top of that the hosts have shown more attacking threat and look capable of causing Forest problems at Portman Road. I am backing Ipswich to build on their last home performance and claim another three points.
BET: Ipswich Town to Win at 3.15
