The Europa League continues on Thursday the 22nd of October with another selection of intriguing fixtures. We are focusing on Besiktas welcoming Crystal Palace to Istanbul and Bournemouth hosting Italian giants AC Milan. We take a closer look at both encounters from a betting perspective below.

Besiktas have made a perfect start to their Europa League campaign, collecting six points from their opening two matches to occupy 4th position on the log.
The Turkish side opened with an impressive 4-1 home victory over Marseille before edging Hoffenheim 3-2 away in their latest European outing. Those results have produced seven goals, although both opponents managed to find a way through their defence.
Crystal Palace began their run with a commanding 4-0 home victory over Lech Poznan but were unable to build on that result when travelling to Lyon.
The side went down 3-2 in France, leaving them in 15th place with three points. Palace have found the net six times across their two appearances, but their first away trip highlighted the challenge they face heading into another demanding fixture.

Verdict
Besiktas have already demonstrated their attacking quality against Marseille and Hoffenheim, while Palace arrive after allowing Lyon three goals in their previous away appearance and they also took a 5-0 beating at Brighton in the EPL on the weekend.

BOURNEMOUTH vs AC MILAN
Bournemouth followed their opening 2-1 victory away to Real Sociedad with a convincing 3-0 home success against Sturm Graz.
Those consecutive wins leave them in 5th position on the table with six points. With five goals to their name and just one against them, Bournemouth have combined a productive attack with a solid defence to start to their campaign and they are also coming off a 2-0 home win against Sunderland in the Premier League.
AC Milan sit one place outside the top 15 in 16th, having collected three points from their first two fixtures.
The Italian side suffered a disappointing 2-0 home defeat against Benfica before responding emphatically with a 4-0 victory away to Salzburg. That performance delivered their first points and a clean sheet, providing an encouraging response ahead of another game on the road.

Verdict
Milan’s comfortable victory in Salzburg suggests they will provide a stern examination for the hosts, but Bournemouth have impressed in both European appearances. Their win at Real Sociedad showed they are not intimidated by top European clubs, while the clean sheet against Sturm Graz added further encouragement. I am backing the English side to maintain their 100% record.
