Valencia v Villarreal
Valencia are currently 19th on the table with six points from their opening nine matches.
They have recorded one victory, three draws and five defeats, scoring six goals and conceding 15.
Valencia played out a goalless home draw against Athletic Bilbao last time out, having previously drawn 2-2 away to Racing Santander. They are now without a victory in their last three league matches.
Villarreal occupy 12th position with nine points from nine matches, having won twice, drawn three and lost four.
They have scored 13 goals and conceded the same number. Villarreal were held to a goalless home draw by Elche in their latest league outing, having previously suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Real Madrid.
Their results have been inconsistent, but Villarreal have scored more than twice as many league goals as their opponents this season.
Head-to-Head
Villarreal completed the league double over Valencia last season, winning 2-0 on the road and 2-1 at home.
The two previous meetings both finished 1-1, meaning Valencia have failed to win any of the last four encounters.
Three of those four matches produced fewer than 2.5 goals.

Villarreal 2.25
Verdict
Neither team enters this match in particularly convincing form, but Villarreal have shown considerably more attacking threat this season.
The visitors have also won the last two meetings between the sides, while Valencia have managed only six goals in nine matches and remain without a victory in their last five.
At the current prices, Villarreal look to offer the best value in the match-result market.

Atlético Madrid v Deportivo de La Coruña
Atlético Madrid are second on the table with 22 points from their opening nine matches.
They have recorded seven victories, one draw and one defeat, scoring 19 goals and conceding eight.
Atlético come into this fixture following successive away league victories, having beaten Alavés 2-1 before recording a 1-0 win over Espanyol last time out.
Their balance between attacking quality and defensive organisation has established them as Barcelona’s closest challengers in the early stages of the season.
Deportivo de La Coruña occupy ninth position with 11 points after recording two victories, five draws and two defeats.
They have scored 13 goals and conceded 12. Deportivo drew 1-1 at home to Levante in their latest outing and have proven difficult to beat, although this represents a substantial step up in opposition.
Head-to-Head
The sides last met in the Copa del Rey in January 2026, when Atlético Madrid recorded a 1-0 away victory.
Their previous league meetings date back to the 2017/18 season, when Atlético won both encounters 1-0. There is therefore little recent league form on which to base a strong head-to-head trend.

Atlético Madrid 1.29

Deportivo de La Coruña 10.00
Verdict
Atlético Madrid should be too strong at home, but their short match-result price holds little appeal on its own.
Deportivo have drawn five of their nine league matches and should approach this difficult assignment cautiously. Atlético have conceded only eight goals this season, while each of the three most recent meetings between the sides ended in a 1-0 victory for the Madrid club.
I am backing Atlético to collect the three points in another relatively controlled, low-scoring contest.

Barcelona v Real Madrid
Barcelona lead the LaLiga standings after winning all nine of their opening matches.
They have scored an outstanding 39 goals and conceded nine, giving them a goal difference of +30.
Barcelona’s latest league result was an impressive 5-2 away victory over Real Betis, having previously beaten Getafe 3-0 at home. They did, however, suffer a 4-2 Champions League defeat against PSG in midweek.
Their perfect start and exceptional scoring record make them the team to beat, although El Clásico presents a far more demanding test than most of their previous league assignments.
Real Madrid are third on the table with 21 points after winning seven and losing two of their opening nine matches.
They have scored 23 goals and conceded nine. Real Madrid arrive on the back of consecutive league victories, beating Sevilla 4-1 after recording a 1-0 home win over Villarreal.
They trail Barcelona by six points and will recognise the importance of avoiding defeat to their title rivals.
Head-to-Head
Barcelona have won three of the last five league meetings between the sides, with Real Madrid winning the other two.
Four of those five encounters produced at least three goals, while Barcelona scored four times in two of the matches.

Barcelona 1.63

Real Madrid 4.00
Verdict
Barcelona’s perfect league record and tally of 39 goals make them worthy favourites, although Real Madrid possess enough attacking quality to contribute to an entertaining El Clásico. Four of the last five league meetings have produced at least three goals, while Real Madrid have scored 23 times in nine matches. I am backing Barcelona to maintain their winning league run, but with Real Madrid also finding the net.
