TERRENCE XINTI BORN vs MATUNGA DJIKASA
EFC Vacant Heavyweight Championship Fight – Main Event:
Terrence Xinti Born holds an unbeaten resume of 4 wins without a loss inside the organisation. All four of his victories have come by knockout, with his last three opponents failing to make it beyond the opening round.
Born needed just 41 seconds to stop Christophe Walravens in February 2026 after dispatching Sholto Luiters in 38 seconds in November 2025. He had earlier defeated Tico Van Den Berg in the first round and stopped Jeremie Tshibala in the second round on his promotional debut.
Matunga Djikasa enters this title fight with an EFC record of 8 wins and 3 losses. The experienced heavyweight has recorded five victories by knockout, two by submission and one by decision inside the promotion showing that he has several ways to finish a contest.
Djikasa suffered a second-round TKO defeat against Adama Diop in April 2026 after stopping Elvis Moyo in the second round the previous September. That loss ended a run of four consecutive EFC victories and he will be looking to bounce back by claiming the vacant belt.

Born 1.80
Djikasa 1.90
PREDICTION:
Djikasa possesses the greater EFC experience and his submission ability could give Born something different to deal with. However, Born has been ruthless in his recent appearances and Djikasa has suffered three stoppage defeats inside the promotion. I expect Born to apply pressure early and secure another knockout victory to claim the heavyweight title.
SITHEMBISO HADEBE vs GIFT WALKER
Bantamweight – Co-Main Event:
Sithembiso Hadebe holds a flawless EFC record of 3 wins without a loss. All three victories have come by unanimous decision, showing his ability to maintain his performance over the full three rounds and get the job done on the scorecards.
Hadebe defeated Godfrey Mkhwanazi in August 2026 on his return to the promotion. He had previously earned decision victories over Moses Mokhari and Sibusiso Sovendle in 2023 and now faces a demanding test against Walker’s dangerous grappling game.
Gift Walker enters this contest with a tally of 8 wins and 2 losses inside the promotion. Six of his promotional victories have come by submission, alongside one knockout and one decision, making his grappling the main threat whenever the fight hits the canvas.
Walker lost to Faeez Jacobs by unanimous decision in July 2026 after submitting Eduardo Barros with a rear naked choke in the second round in April. Before those appearances, he had recorded consecutive EFC victories over Moses Mokhari by unanimous decision and Sibusiso Sovendle by submission.

Hadebe 2.05
Walker 1.67
PREDICTION:
Hadebe is yet to lose inside the EFC and has shown that he is comfortable going the distance. However, Walker possesses considerably more promotional experience and a strong record of submission finishes. I expect his grappling to create opportunities as the contest develops and I am backing Walker to secure a submission victory.

GODFREY MKHWANAZI vs CLELIO DIOGO
Bantamweight – Main Card Bout:
Godfrey Mkhwanazi holds a record of 4 wins and 5 losses under the institution. Three of his victories have come by knockout and one by decision, although submission defence has been a concern with three of his promotional defeats coming on the canvas.
Mkhwanazi lost to Sithembiso Hadebe by unanimous decision in August 2026 after beating William Lekana on the scorecards in June. He had previously stopped Allistar Kunene in the second round, giving him two wins from his last three EFC appearances.
Clelio Diogo makes his second EFC appearance on Thursday with a promotional record of 1 win without a loss. He made an immediate impression on his debut, demonstrating his submission threat by finishing the contest inside the opening round.
Diogo defeated Nicholas Vermaak with a rear naked choke in July 2026, securing the stoppage after just 2 minutes and 49 seconds. He now looks to build on that successful introduction against an opponent with considerably more experience inside the organisation.

Mkhwanazi 2.35
Diogo 1.50
PREDICTION:
Mkhwanazi carries a knockout threat and has considerably more EFC fight time but his previous submission defeats make this a difficult matchup. Diogo showed how dangerous he can be on the ground in his debut and I expect him to pursue a similar approach here, taking control on the canvas and winning by submission.
SUGGESTED BETS:
Born vs Djikasa
Born win at 1.80
Hadebe vs Walker
Walker win at 1.67
Mkhwanazi vs Diogo
Diogo win at 1.50
