We look at 3 of the PSL fixtures taking place on Sunday the 20th of September from a betting angle.
Golden Arrows welcome Kaizer Chiefs, Marumo Gallants face Orlando Pirates before TS Galaxy take on Chippa United.

Arrows have proven difficult to defeat during the opening weeks of the campaign, collecting seven points from six league matches to occupy 7th position on the table.
Their only victory arrived through a narrow 1-0 home success over Stellenbosch. Goalless draws against Durban City and TS Galaxy were followed by a 2-1 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns before they shared the points in a 1-1 result away to Siwelele.
Kaizer Chiefs remain unbeaten after six fixtures and enter the weekend in 4th overall with 12 points. They began with a 3-1 triumph against Kruger United and followed that up with a 2-0 victory over Sekhukhune United before earning a credible 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Chiefs have since drawn 2-2 with Richards Bay, beaten Siwelele 3-2 and played out a 1-1 result away to Polokwane City and their 12 goals netted make them one of the more productive attacking teams in the division.
Head-to-Head:
The previous six meetings have been evenly divided, with Golden Arrows and Kaizer Chiefs recording three victories each.
Chiefs completed a league double last season by winning both matches 1-0, although Golden Arrows responded with a 1-0 victory when the teams met in the MTN8 Cup in August.
Odds: Golden Arrows 3.75 | Draw 3.15 | Kaizer Chiefs 2.05
Verdict:
Golden Arrows have relied heavily on their defensive organisation, conceding only three goals across six matches. However, the three goals they have scored during that period highlight their limited attacking threat.
Kaizer Chiefs have looked more dangerous going forward and remain unbeaten despite facing several strong opponents. Their defensive record has not been flawless, but they have found ways to collect points consistently.
This should be another competitive contest, but I am backing Kaizer Chiefs to secure all three points.
Bet: Kaizer Chiefs win at 2.05

Marumo Gallants vs Orlando Pirates – click here to bet
Marumo Gallants are still searching for their first league victory after taking only two points from their opening six matches. That difficult start leaves them at the bottom of the standings heading into Sunday’s fixture.
A 2-2 draw against Polokwane City delivered one of their better results but it came between a 3-2 home defeat to TS Galaxy and a narrow 1-0 loss away to AmaZulu.
Orlando Pirates have established themselves among the early title contenders after recording five victories and one draw from six outings. Their total of 16 points places them 2nd overall while they have scored 14 goals and conceded only once.
Pirates were held to a 1-1 draw by AmaZulu during their second fixture but have responded with four consecutive victories. Comfortable wins over Chippa United, Sekhukhune United and Kruger United were followed by a 2-0 success against Durban City on Thursday.
Head-to-Head:
Orlando Pirates have won four of the previous six meetings, with Marumo Gallants claiming two victories.
Pirates won both encounters during the second half of last season, recording a 1-0 cup victory before earning a convincing 3-0 league success. However, Gallants did beat the Buccaneers 2-1 at home earlier in that campaign.
Odds: Marumo Gallants 9.50 | Draw 4.75 | Orlando Pirates 1.33
Verdict:
Marumo Gallants have struggled at both ends of the pitch and now face one of the division’s strongest-performing teams.
Orlando Pirates arrive on the back of four consecutive victories and, importantly for this selection, have kept a clean sheet in each of those matches. Gallants have caused Pirates problems at home in the past, but the visitors’ combination of attacking quality and defensive discipline makes them difficult to oppose.
The current form of the two teams points towards an away victory, while Pirates’ recent defensive record provides confidence that they can also prevent Gallants from scoring.
Bet: Match Result and Both Teams to Score – Orlando Pirates and NO at 1.98
TS Galaxy vs Chippa United – click here to bet
TS Galaxy have made an inconsistent start to the season, registering one victory, three draws and two defeats from six matches. Their six point return places them 10th on the table ahead of this encounter.
Galaxy earned their only win through a 3-2 away success over Marumo Gallants three games back before holding Sekhukhune United to a goalless draw. They were unable to build on those results in their latest outing, suffering a disappointing 1-0 home defeat against Kruger United.
Chippa United remain without a victory but have drawn five of their six fixtures to collect five points and sit 12th overall. Their only defeat came in a 3-0 home loss against Orlando Pirates last month.
Since that setback, Chippa have recorded three consecutive draws against Siwelele, Milford and Mamelodi Sundowns. Holding the Tshwane outfit to a 1-1 result last weekend should provide them with added confidence.
Head-to-Head:
Out of the last six meetings between the sides, TS Galaxy have claimed three wins with Chippa winning two games and the remainder ending in a stalemate.
TS Galaxy are unbeaten in the two most recent league encounters, having earned a convincing 4-1 away victory before the reverse fixture finished 1-1 last season.
Odds: TS Galaxy 2.25 | Draw 3.00 | Chippa United 3.40
Verdict:
Chippa United have lost only once this season, but five draws and just three goals from six matches highlight their difficulty in turning competitive performances into victories.
TS Galaxy have been inconsistent, but home advantage, the stronger recent head-to-head record and their greater attacking threat give them the edge in what should be a tight contest.
Bet: TS Galaxy win at 2.25
