We look at three of the International Friendly matches taking place on Friday the 27th of March and suggest a bet in each game.
GREECE vs PARAGUAY
Greece have produced mixed results in their latest international friendlies. They played out a 0-0 draw away to Belarus in their most recent outing which took place in November after recording a solid 3-2 home victory over Scotland.
Prior to that they suffered back-to-back defeats against Denmark and Scotland, losing 3-1 in both fixtures, although they did record a dominant 5-1 home victory over Belarus. Greece have shown they can score goals but have been inconsistent defensively over the past few months.
Paraguay come into this fixture in reasonable form across recent friendlies. They secured a 2-1 away victory over Mexico a few months back in their latest match but had previously lost 2-1 away to the USA and suffered a 2-0 defeat against South Korea.
Before that they played out a 2-2 draw against Japan and recorded a 1-0 victory away over Peru. Paraguay have been competitive in most of their recent matches and tend to be well organised defensively, especially against lower ranked opponents.
Head-to-Head
Their most recent meeting came in an international friendly in 2010 where Paraguay claimed a 2-0 victory over Greece.

Greece 2.00
Draw 3.40
Paraguay 3.75
Verdict
This looks like a fairly even clash on paper with both teams producing mixed recent results. Greece have home advantage, but Paraguay have been competitive across their recent run of performances. I am backing both teams to score.

ENGLAND vs URUGUAY
England have been in excellent form in recent international matches. They recorded a 2-0 away victory over Albania in November after beating Serbia 2-0 at home and securing a dominant 5-0 away victory over Latvia.
Earlier they also recorded a convincing 3-0 home victory over Wales and another 5-0 win away to Serbia. England have been extremely strong defensively while also scoring plenty of goals up front.
Uruguay have produced inconsistent outcomes across their latest action. They suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat away to the USA in their latest match held in November but had previously played out a 0-0 draw against Mexico and earned a narrow 2-1 victory away against Uzbekistan.
Before that they recorded a narrow 1-0 home win over the Dominican Republic and settled for a 0-0 stalemate away to Chile. Uruguay have been solid defensively but have struggled for consistency and not been able to build much momentum in the last half a year.
Head-to-Head
These sides have met several times historically, including at the 2014 World Cup where Uruguay secured a 2-1 victory, while England won 2-1 in a friendly in 2006.

Uruguay 6.50
Verdict
England come into this match in very strong form and have been superb both defensively and going forward. Uruguay are competitive but may struggle against England’s attacking quality. I believe England have enough quality to get this done and goals are likely across 90 minutes.

SWITZERLAND vs GERMANY
Switzerland have produced strong scorelines in their recent international fixtures. They played out a 1-1 draw away to Kosovo in their latest outing which took place a few months ago after securing a 4-1 home victory over Sweden.
Prior to that they recorded a goalless draw away to Slovenia and a solid 2-0 away victory over Sweden, while earlier they also picked up convincing victories over Slovenia and Kosovo. Switzerland have been difficult to beat and have shown solid defensive organisation.
Germany have also been performing at an impressive level during their last few encounters. They claimed a dominant 6-0 home victory over Slovakia in their latest match after beating Luxembourg 2-0 away and securing a narrow 1-0 victory away to Northern Ireland.
Earlier they also recorded a 4-0 home victory over Luxembourg and a 3-1 win against Northern Ireland during the World Cup Qualifiers. Germany have been very strong defensively while scoring consistently at the opposite end.
Head-to-Head
Recent meetings between these sides have been competitive, including a 1-1 draw at Euro 2024 and a 3-3 draw in the UEFA Nations League in 2020, showing that Switzerland are capable of competing with Germany.

Germany 2.25
Verdict
Germany come into this match in strong form but Switzerland are always competitive at home and have a solid defensive structure. This could be a closely contested friendly and I believe both teams will do enough to beat the keeper but Germany will do it more often.
