There is Monday night English Premier League action for punters to look forward to as Fulham host Chelsea, and we take a closer look at the game from a betting angle.

Arsenal remain the market leaders in the race for the English Premier League title and are priced at 1.90 to defend their crown.
Manchester City are next in the betting at 5.00, followed by Liverpool at 8.00 and Chelsea at 9.00. The balance of the teams are available at odds of 13.00 and bigger.

Fulham
Fulham finished last season in 11th position after recording 15 victories, seven draws and 16 defeats.
They have played several friendly matches in preparation for the new season and recorded a 1-0 victory over Stuttgart in their latest outing.
While it is always dangerous to read too much into friendly results, both teams have scored in four of Fulham’s last five matches.
Chelsea
Chelsea finished tenth last season and ended their league campaign in disappointing form, recording three defeats, one victory and one draw from their final five matches.
They have also been involved in several pre-season friendlies and beat Real Sociedad 3-1 last week. Chelsea have scored exactly three goals in each of their last three warm-up matches.
Head-to-Head
Fulham beat Chelsea 2-1 at home last season, while Chelsea won the reverse fixture 2-0.
The away team won both league encounters during the previous season. There are no particularly strong goalscoring trends, although both teams have scored in three of the last four meetings.
Three of those four matches produced over 2.5 goals, but none went beyond the three-goal mark.

Verdict
This should be a tight match, but I have been impressed by Chelsea’s pre-season form and expect them to edge the contest.
Chelsea to win at 1.87 is my main selection, but there are several betting angles I considered:
