We look at two of the huge English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday the 19th of April starting with the Merseyside Derby and then looking at the potential title decider between Manchester City and Arsenal.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Arsenal remain favourites at 1.60 but having drifted considerably after their loss to Bournemouth Manchester City are now priced at 2.20 but expect massive change in either direction in the betting after this weekend’s head-to-head.

SUNDAY:
EVERTON vs LIVERPOOL
Everton sit 8th on the table with 47 points from 32 matches and have produced a solid campaign overall. They have recorded thirteen wins, eight draws and eleven defeats while finding the net 39 times and allowing 37.
Their recent form has been solid but not spectacular. They played out a 2-2 draw away to Brentford in their latest outing after securing an impressive 3-0 home victory over Chelsea while prior to that they were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal.
Liverpool sit in 5th position on the log with 52 points from 32 fixtures and remain firmly in the hunt for European qualification. They have produced 52 goals while conceding 42, highlighting their attacking threat but vulnerability at the back.
Their recent performances have been inconsistent. They recorded a 2-0 home win over Fulham in their most recent match after suffering a 2-1 defeat away to Brighton while before that they were held to a 1-1 draw against Tottenham.
Head-to-Head
The reverse fixture earlier this season saw Liverpool claim a 2-1 home win, while last season’s encounters included a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park and a narrow 1-0 victory for Liverpool at Anfield.

Everton 3.15
Draw 3.40
Liverpool 2.25
Verdict
Everton have shown resilience at home while Liverpool’s inconsistency on the road remains a concern. However, Liverpool’s superior attacking quality could prove decisive in what is often a tightly contested derby. Liverpool to win by exactly 1 goal is my prediction and that is priced at 4.25 but I am going to go with a more conservative play and back the Reds to get the 3 points.

MANCHESTER CITY vs ARSENAL
Manchester City sit 2nd on the table and continue to apply pressure to an Arsenal team that is clearly feeling the heat. They have been efficient throughout the campaign, combining defensive stability with attacking output as seen in their goal return of 63 while allowing just 28 past the keeper.
Their recent form has been solid but not totally dominant. They secured a commanding 3-0 away victory over Chelsea in their latest test after playing out a 1-1 draw with West Ham, which followed a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal remain top of the standings with 70 points from 32 matches and have looked every inch title winners until last weeks shock home defeat to Bournemouth. They have registered 62 goals while conceding just 24 and they will know that avoiding defeat in this game would be a massive step towards securing the title.
Their recent run has been largely positive despite a singular setback. They suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth in their latest match after defeating Everton 2-0 and securing a 1-0 away win over Brighton.
Head-to-Head
Recent meetings have been competitive. Earlier this season the sides shared a 1-1 draw, while City secured a 2-0 victory in the EFL Cup in their most recent clash in March. Arsenal did pull off a 5-1 victory at home last season and this corresponding league fixture finished 2-2 last season.

Manchester City 1.87
Draw 3.65
Arsenal 4.25
Verdict
This clash between the top two promises to be a high quality encounter. Manchester City’s home advantage and strong recent performances give them the edge with the bookies, while Arsenal’s slight dip in form could be a sign that the nerves are setting in.
I am backing City to grab all 3 points and potentially move to title favourites.
