TOTTENHAM vs ASTON VILLA
Tottenham are still searching for their first victory of the campaign after collecting two points from four matches. Their season began with a 3-0 defeat away to Brentford before they suffered a 2-0 loss against Newcastle
Spurs have shown greater defensive discipline recently, recording consecutive goalless draws against Nottingham Forest and Everton. However, they remain one of the only sides yet to score in the league and currently occupy 17th position.
Aston Villa have also endured a difficult opening month, losing three of their first four encounters. A heavy 4-0 defeat to Brighton was followed by a narrow 1-0 home loss against Arsenal.
Villa secured their only point through a goalless draw at Hull City before suffering a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend. They sit 19th with one point, having scored only once and conceded seven goals.
Head-to-Head:
Aston Villa have won four of the last six meetings between the clubs, while Tottenham have claimed two victories.
Villa won twice at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season, recording 2-1 victories in the Premier League and FA Cup. Tottenham did, however, earn a 2-1 away win in their latest meeting despite playing on the road.

Tottenham 2.05
Draw 3.65
Aston Villa 3.65
Verdict:
Neither side enters this clash with much confidence. Tottenham have improved defensively but their failure to score across four matches remains a major concern.
Villa have also struggled in attack, although their recent record in this fixture provides encouragement. They have won on their last two visits to Tottenham and finally opened their scoring account against Nottingham Forest.
With both teams desperate for a first victory, this should be a tight contest. Villa’s strong head-to-head record makes the visitors an attractive option at the price, making them my value play.
BET: Aston Villa to Win at 3.65

BRIGHTON vs ARSENAL
Brighton produced one of the standout performances of the previous round, cruising to a commanding 5-0 victory away to Coventry City. That result followed a 1-1 draw against Leeds United and lifted them into 5th position with seven points.
Their campaign began with a comfortable 4-0 home triumph over Aston Villa before they narrowly lost 4-3 against Chelsea. Brighton have netted a respectable 13 goals in four matches, making them the most prolific attacking side in the division.
Arsenal have made a perfect start to their title defence, winning each of their opening four fixtures. They began with a 3-0 victory over Coventry before edging Aston Villa 1-0 on the road.
The Gunners then defeated Chelsea 2-1 and maintained their unbeaten run with a composed 2-0 win over Sunderland.
Head-to-Head:
Arsenal are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the sides, recording four victories and two draws.
The side won all three encounters last season, including a 1-0 league victory in Brighton. Arsenal also earned 2-1 and 2-0 home wins in the Premier League and EFL Cup respectively.

Brighton 5.00
Draw 4.00
Arsenal 1.71
Verdict:
Brighton’s attacking form makes them a dangerous opponent, particularly after scoring nine goals across their two victories. Their seven goal thriller against Chelsea also demonstrated the threat they carry going forward.
Arsenal have been more balanced, pairing a reliable attack with the strongest defensive record in the league while three clean sheets from four matches underline their organisation at the back.
Brighton should test the champions but Arsenal’s perfect form and dominance in recent meetings make the visitors difficult to oppose here.
BET: Arsenal to Win at 1.71
NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs COVENTRY CITY
Nottingham Forest claimed their first victory of the season in the previous round, earning an impressive 2-1 win away to Aston Villa. That result moved them into 11th position with five points from four fixtures.
Forest opened with a narrow 1-0 home defeat against Leeds United before producing a strong display in a 2-2 draw at Liverpool. They then held Tottenham to a goalless draw and have now avoided defeat in three consecutive matches.
Coventry City remain rooted to the bottom of the table after losing all four of their league encounters. They suffered a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on the opening weekend before Hull City edged them 1-0.
A disciplined display against Manchester City ended in another 1-0 loss, while their defensive resistance disappeared during a heavy 5-0 home defeat against Brighton.
Head-to-Head:
Nottingham Forest have won four of the last six meetings between the clubs, while Coventry have collected two victories.
Their most recent encounter was a friendly in July 2022, which Coventry won 3-1. Forest won three of the previous four competitive meetings, including a 2-0 home victory in the Championship just over four years ago.

Nottingham Forest 1.67
Draw 4.25
Coventry City 5.25
Verdict:
Nottingham Forest arrive with growing confidence after taking five points from their last three matches and their performances away to Liverpool and Aston Villa suggest they are capable of controlling this fixture.
Coventry’s problems extend across both ends of the pitch. They have failed to score in four matches and their defence was exposed repeatedly by Brighton.
Forest possess the stronger form, greater attacking threat and home advantage and I believe they should have do enough to bag a second consecutive victory.
