The final round of EPL matches is upon us and we look at three fixtures taking place on Sunday the 24th of May and suggest a bet in each encounter. Two of the clashes involve teams fighting to avoid relegation while Brighton and Manchester United meet looking to end off their respective seasons strong.

Brighton vs Manchester United
Brighton occupy 7th place on the table with 53 points and remain in contention for a solid finish to the campaign with the potential to move up to 6th. They have scored 52 goals while conceding 43 to leave them at +9 which is 5 goals higher than Bournemouth who are above them overall, so if they win and Bournemouth lose they will finish 6th but most likely they will need to win to protect their 7th spot.
They suffered a narrow 1-0 away defeat to Leeds in their latest outing after recording impressive 3-0 victories over Wolves and Chelsea.
Manchester United will finish 3rd on the standings and have enjoyed a strong run of form over the last month. The side have found the back of the net 66 times while allowing 50 in at the other end.
United edged Nottingham Forest 3-2 in their latest fixture after a goalless draw away to Sunderland and before that they defeated Liverpool 3-2.
Head-to-Head
Brighton have enjoyed success in recent meetings and defeated Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup earlier this year after also winning 3-1 and 2-1 in the previous two league encounters. United did however claim a 4-2 victory in the reverse fixture this season.

Verdict
Brighton have been dangerous at home throughout the campaign and their recent record against Manchester United is impressive. United arrive in strong form themselves though and should still pose a major attacking threat. This fixture has regularly produced goals and another open contest looks likely but I am backing United to win at good value.

Tottenham vs Everton
Tottenham head into the final weekend sitting 17th on the table with 38 points and if they lose and West Ham win they will be relegated. A draw would be enough to keep them safe as well.
Spurs have scored 47 goals this season but defensive issues remain a concern after conceding 57.
They were beaten 2-1 away to Chelsea in midweek after drawing 1-1 with Leeds which followed an important away wins over Aston Villa and Wolves.
Everton are in 12th position on the table with 49 points and are well clear of any danger despite inconsistent recent performances. The team have been active on attack scoring 47 goals but their backline has been vulnerable allowing 49 through.
Their latest action ended in a disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Sunderland after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Manchester City and a 2-2 stalemate away to Crystal Palace.
Head-to-Head
Tottenham won the reverse fixture 3-0 earlier this season and have dominated this matchup in recent seasons. Spurs also recorded 4-0 in the previous home meeting against Everton although Everton claimed a 3-2 triumph in the corresponding fixture last year.

Verdict
Tottenham should come into this encounter with greater intent given the importance of the result. Everton have struggled defensively in recent weeks and Spurs have generally performed well in this fixture. I am expecting the hosts to push aggressively from the opening whistle and edge the match.

West Ham vs Leeds
West Ham sit 18th on the standings with 36 points and require a victory to stand any chance of survival. They have endured a difficult campaign overall, letting 65 goals slip past the keeper while only scoring 43.
They have lost three of their last four league matches including defeats to Newcastle, Arsenal and Brentford. Their only recent success came in a 2-1 home win against Everton late last month.
Leeds are in 14th position on the log with 47 points and have already secured their Premier League status for another season. They have shown improved form lately having gone unbeaten across their last eight fixtures.
Leeds beat Brighton 1-0 in their latest fixture after draws against Tottenham and Bournemouth as well as a 3-1 win over Burnley.
Head-to-Head
Leeds have enjoyed the better of recent meetings and defeated West Ham 3-2 in the FA Cup earlier this year after also winning 2-1 in the reverse league fixture. West Ham’s last league win over Leeds came back in May 2023 with a scoreline of 3-1.

Verdict
West Ham will be desperate for maximum points but their recent defensive displays remain worrying. Leeds have looked organised in recent weeks and carry a real threat on the counterattack. With both sides capable of creating chances this should be an entertaining contest but it is hard to look past the recent results of Leeds and I am picking them to win.
