NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs ASTON VILLA
Nottingham Forest sit 16th on the table with 32 points from 31 matches. Their season has been inconsistent with eight wins, eight draws and fifteen defeats while registering 31 goals and allowing 43, reflecting a side that has struggled for balance.
Their recent form has shown signs of resilience. They secured an impressive 3-0 victory away to Tottenham in their latest outing, following a goalless draw with Fulham and a 2-2 share of the spoils against Manchester City.
On Thursday night they played Porto in the Europa League and got an impressive 1-1 draw in the quarter-final 1st leg encounter.
Aston Villa occupy 4th position overall with 54 points from 31 games and remain firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification. They have produced 42 goals while letting 37 slip at the back, suggesting a fairly solid approach.
Villa’s recent performances have been mixed. They recorded a 2-0 home victory over West Ham last time out but were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United prior to that and suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against Chelsea.
In midweek they were impressive in the Europa League beating Bologna 3-1 on the road.

This appears to be a closely matched encounter based on current form and market pricing. Nottingham have shown improvement against stronger opposition, while Villa have been inconsistent on the road. With both sides capable of finding the net, this could develop into an open contest and I think Villa will be the more relaxed of the sides looking ahead to the Europa 2nd leg encounters and will win a high scoring game.

CHELSEA vs MANCHESTER CITY
Chelsea find themselves 6th on the standings with 48 points from 31 matches. Their campaign has been competitive, with 53 goals scored and 38 conceded, highlighting attacking quality alongside occasional defensive lapses.
Their recent run has been disappointing. They were beaten 3-0 by Everton in their latest fixture, following a 1-0 home defeat to Newcastle. Prior to that they produced a strong 4-1 victory over Aston Villa.
Manchester City sit 2nd on the table with 61 points from 30 matches and remain outsiders in the title race, 9 points behind Arsenal but with a game in hand. They have accumulated 60 goals while allowing 28 breach their defence, underlining their dominance at both ends of the pitch.
City’s recent form has been solid. They played out a 1-1 draw with West Ham, shared a 2-2 result with Nottingham Forest and secured a narrow 1-0 win away to Leeds.
