There are two English Premier League matches taking place on Monday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Arsenal are still favourites to win the Premier League at 1.60 after a convincing win over Fulham on the weekend, with Manchester City trading at 2.60.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest
Chelsea are currently 9th on the table, but on a terrible run of form that has seen them lose their last five League matches during which time they have not scored a goal. Last time out they were hammered 3-0 away at Brighton and their last two home games were a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United and a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.
Nottingham currently sit 16th on the log on 39 points not quite certain of another season of English Premier League football. They are one of the form sides at the moment though, undefeated in their last 6 matches and they hammered Sunderland 5-0 away in their last game and Burnley 4-1 at home before that.
Head-to-Head
Chelsea beat Nottingham 3-0 in the reverse fixture and last season they won 1-0 on the road and drew this fixture 1-1.

Nottingham Forest 4.75
Verdict
Chelsea’ s poor run must surely come to an end at some stage, but based on the form of these sides, the bookies appear to be giving Chelsea a bit too much credit. You can back Nottingham to either win the game or get a draw by taking the Asian Handicap plus 0.5 goals at 2.20, but for me the value lies in backing Forest to win on the road.
BET: Nottingham Forest win at 4.75

Everton vs Manchester City
Everton are currently 11th on the table with just 1 win in their last 5 games. That came at home against the out of sorts, Chelsea side, but since then they drew 2-2 at Brentford, lost 2-1 at home to Liverpool and lost 2-1 away to West Ham.
Manchester City currently sit 2nd on the table, 6 points behind Arsenal, but with two games in hand. They are undefeated in their last 11 English Premier League matches and have won their last 3, also hammering Chelsea 3-0 on the road before a massive 2-1 home win over Arsenal and a 1-0 away win over Burnley.
Head-to-Head
Manchester City won the reverse fixture 2-0 at home and last season City beat Everton 2-0 in this fixture and the match hosted by City finished 1-1.
Manchester City have dominated this fixture of late and have won 5 of the last 6 meetings between the sides.

Manchester City 1.51
Verdict
Everton are out of sorts at the moment, but Manchester City also battled past Burnley in their last start, and I don’t think they are going to have things their own way.
I am expecting City to get the job done, but I don’t think it will be a runaway win, and I will be betting on them to win by exactly 1 goal.
BET: Handicap 3 Way, Everton +1, the Draw at 3.85
