FRIDAY:
SUNDERLAND vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Sunderland sit 11th on the table with 46 points from 33 matches and have enjoyed a competitive return to the topflight. They have scored 36 goals and conceded 40.
Their recent form has been encouraging despite a loss in their last start. They suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat away to Aston Villa the last time they played after securing a 1-0 home win over Tottenham, which followed an impressive 2-1 away victory against Newcastle roughly a month ago.
Nottingham Forest occupy 16th position with 36 points from 33 fixtures and remain in the battle to avoid relegation. They have produced 36 goals while shipping 45, reflecting the defensive vulnerabilities which have plagued them.
Their recent performances have been strong. They recorded a convincing 4-1 home win over Burnley in their latest match after playing out a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, while prior to that they secured an impressive 3-0 away victory over Tottenham.
Head-to-Head
The reverse fixture earlier this season saw Sunderland claim a 1-0 away win. Historically, meetings between these sides have been competitive with Sunderland holding a slight edge overall.

Sunderland 2.80
Draw 3.25
Nottingham Forest 2.70
Verdict
Sunderland have been solid at home but Nottingham Forest come into this clash in strong form and full of confidence. With momentum on their side the visitors could edge a closely contested encounter, and I am backing them to take all three points.
BET: Nottingham Forest to Win at 2.70
SATURDAY:
WOLVES vs TOTTENHAM
Wolves sit bottom of the table in 20th place with just 17 points from 33 matches and have endured a difficult campaign. They have scored only 24 goals while conceding 61, highlighting major struggles at both ends of the pitch.
Their recent form has been back to normal after a slight incline in their performance level a few weeks ago. They suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Leeds in their latest match after a heavy 4-0 loss to West Ham, while prior to that they managed a 2-2 draw against Brentford.
Tottenham occupy 18th position overall holding 31 points and are still fighting to avoid the drop in division. They have struck 42 goals and allowed 53 in at the back and they are fast running out of time to save themselves.
They come into this clash riding unsteady form. They played out a 2-2 draw with Brighton a few days ago after losing 1-0 to Sunderland, while before that they suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Head-to-Head
Recent meetings between these sides have been evenly matched. The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw, while Wolves have had success in recent encounters including a 4-2 home win last season.

Wolves 4.50
Draw 4.00
Tottenham 1.77
Verdict
Wolves poor form and defensive struggles make them difficult to trust while Tottenham, despite inconsistency possess greater attacking quality. This could be an opportunity for Spurs to claim a vital result in what I expect to be a high scoring game.
BET: Match result and over 2.5 goals, Tottenham and over at 2.70

ARSENAL vs NEWCASTLE UNITED
Arsenal are 2nd on the table, by virtue of City having scored more goals than them and the run in to the title is going to be dramatic.
They had been the standout side this season although they have struggled in recent weeks and have turned what looked to be a comfortable march to the title into a cliffhanger. They have scored 63 goals while conceding just 26.
They suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Manchester City in their latest match after a surprise 2-1 home loss to Bournemouth although prior to that they secured a solid 2-0 victory over Everton.
Newcastle United sit 14th in the league with 42 points accumulated from 33 matches and have battled to string positive results together. The team hold an aggregate goal difference of 46 for with 49 against, with an average of 2.9 goals per game.
Their recent performances have been disappointing. They suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth in their latest outing after losing 2-1 away to Crystal Palace, which followed a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland.
Head-to-Head
Arsenal have dominated recent meetings. The reverse fixture earlier this season saw them secure a 2-1 away win and they have won the last three meetings between the sides.

Arsenal 1.49
Draw 4.75
Newcastle United 6.25
Verdict
Despite a slight dip in form, Arsenal remain a class above and boast a strong home record. Newcastle’s poor recent run further strengthens the case for a home victory, and I think Arsenal get it done comfortably.
