The remaining English Premier League teams join the EFL Cup this week, and we take a look at three Round of 32 matches taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday and suggest a bet in each game.
TUESDAY
Sunderland v Hull City
Sunderland are currently 12th in the English Premier League after collecting four points from their opening three matches.
They play their first EFL Cup match of the season, with a place in the round of 16 awaiting the winners.
Hull City have made an excellent start to their English Premier League campaign and currently sit third on the table with seven points from a possible nine.
They have already been in EFL Cup action, beating Stoke City 2-1 away from home to book their place in the round of 32.
Head-to-Head
The sides last met in a club friendly in July last year, with Hull City winning 2-1.
Before that, they met in the Championship, where the away team won each of their last four competitive encounters by exactly one goal to nil.

Sunderland 1.71

Hull City 5.00
Verdict
Although Hull City have made the stronger start to the English Premier League season, I expect their primary focus to be on maintaining that momentum in the league.
Sunderland should be highly motivated to progress in the cup, and I am backing them to use their home advantage to secure a place in the round of 16.

Millwall v Newcastle United
Millwall come into this match following an impressive 4-0 home victory over Bolton in the Championship, a result that leaves them seventh on the table.
They have already played twice to reach this stage of the EFL Cup, beating Queens Park Rangers 2-1 on the road before recording a 1-0 away victory over Cambridge United.
Newcastle United sit seventh on the English Premier League table and are unbeaten after three matches, having recorded one victory and two draws.
They have also been in EFL Cup action, booking their place in the round of 32 with a 3-2 home victory over West Bromwich Albion.
Head-to-Head
There is no meaningful recent head-to-head form between these sides, with their last meeting coming during the 1992/93 season.

Millwall 5.50
Draw 4.25
Newcastle United 1.57
Verdict
I expect Newcastle United to get the job done, although Millwall should make this an entertaining encounter.
The Premier League visitors should have too much quality, and I am backing them to win a match that produces at least three goals.

WEDNESDAY
Chelsea v Leeds United
Chelsea booked their place in the round of 32 with a 2-0 home victory over Luton Town in the previous round.
They come into this match following a 2-1 away defeat to Arsenal at the weekend. Chelsea took an early lead but were unable to hold on, and the result leaves them fourth on the English Premier League table with six points from three matches.
Leeds United are ninth on the table and remain unbeaten after their opening three Premier League games.
Their first match in this competition produced a 2-0 away victory over Nottingham Forest, while they drew 1-1 away to Brighton in the league at the weekend.
Head-to-Head
The sides last met in the FA Cup in April 2026, with Chelsea recording a 1-0 victory.
Their recent English Premier League meetings include a 2-2 draw, while Chelsea and Leeds have also recorded 3-1 home victories over each other.

Verdict
Recent meetings between these teams have produced plenty of goals, and I am sticking with the match result and total-goals market.
Chelsea should have enough quality to win at home, but Leeds are capable of contributing to an entertaining and high-scoring encounter.
