After an outstanding Masters week, the PGA Tour remains in South Carolina for another signature event as the players head to Harbour Town Golf Links for the RBC Heritage. With a strong field making the quick turnaround from Augusta, this presents a very different but equally demanding test.
We take a look at this week’s event from a betting perspective below.
THE COURSE
Harbour Town Golf Links is one of the most unique and strategic layouts on the PGA Tour. The par 71 measures just 7,234 yards (6,615 metres), making it one of the shorter courses on the schedule, but it consistently ranks among the most demanding.
Designed by Pete Dye with input from Jack Nicklaus, the course places a premium on precision over power. Unlike Augusta, where length can be a major advantage, Harbour Town neutralises big hitters with tight, tree-lined fairways and sharp doglegs that force players to club down off the tee.
The fairways are narrow and framed by overhanging trees, requiring players to shape tee shots both ways and position the ball correctly to attack pins.
The greens are small, firm Bermuda surfaces, among the smallest on tour, making approach play absolutely critical. Missing greens leads to tricky up-and-downs, so a strong scrambling game is essential.
Another key factor is the coastal wind, particularly on the closing stretch along Calibogue Sound. The famous finishing hole, with the lighthouse backdrop, is exposed and often plays a decisive role late on Sunday.
Harbour Town typically rewards:
- elite iron players
- accurate drivers over distance hitters
- strong scramblers
- players who excel in course management and patience
Winning scores are usually in the -13 to -20 range, depending on conditions.

Cameron Young at 19.00
Young arrives in excellent form following a 3rd-place finish at The Masters, where he was firmly in contention heading into Sunday and led at one stage before falling away.
Prior to Augusta, he recorded:
- 7th at the Genesis Invitational
- 3rd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational
- a win at The Players Championship
While Harbour Town is not a typical power course, Young’s improving all-round game and confidence make him a serious contender.

Patrick Cantlay at 21.00
Cantlay has one of the strongest course records at Harbour Town. In his last eight appearances, he has:
- five top-3 finishes
- and another top-10
His game is perfectly suited to this layout, with elite approach play and course management. After a solid Masters showing (12th), he returns to a venue where he consistently contends.

Sam Burns at 36.00
Burns is a strong fit for Harbour Town given his Bermuda putting ability and improving tee-to-green form.
He finished 7th at The Masters despite a poor final round and has been consistently competitive in recent starts. With confidence high and a game that suits the surface, he looks well placed for another strong week.
Suggested Bet: Sam Burns each way at 36.00 and a top 10 finish at 4.00
Brian Harman at 71.00
Harman is a much better fit for Harbour Town than his price suggests. This is a classic accuracy-first, positional golf course, and that plays directly into his strengths. He is one of the most reliable players on tour when it comes to fairways hit, wedge play, and scrambling, all critical metrics here. This is backed up by a 3rd place finish last year with a 12th place and a 7th place in 24 and 23.
He also has a proven track record on similar layouts and coastal setups, where wind control and patience are key. On a course where bombers are neutralised and discipline is rewarded, Harman who was 33rd at Augusta a course where length is a bigger factor, has a genuine chance of contending at a big price.
