England and New Zealand meet in the 4th and final ODI at Lord’s on Friday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
SERIES STATUS
New Zealand won the 1st ODI by 8 wickets, but England bounced back in the 2nd ODI in Southampton winning by 79 runs. The sides then met on Wednesday at the Oval where England took a 2-1 Series lead with a convincing 181 run victory.
3rd ODI
New Zealand won the toss and elected to field and they had England in trouble early as 13 for 2 with the dismissal of Bairstow and Root. Malan and Stokes put on a great partnership before Malan went for 96 at just better than a run a ball. The hero of the innings was Ben Stokes with 182 off just 124 balls including 15 fours and 9 sixes helping England to 368 all out in the 49th over.
Trent Boult was the top New Zealand bowler with 5 for 51 in 9.1 overs and there was also a good spell from Ben Lister getting 3 for 69 in 10.
New Zealand lost regular wickets and never looked like chasing down the total and in the end it was Glenn Phillips with 72 off 76 balls that got them to a total of 187 all out in 39 overs.
The English bowlers were always in control and there were 3 wickets for Woakes who bowled 8 overs for 31 and also from Liam Livingstone who took 3 for 16 off 5 overs.

England 4/9
New Zealand 7/4
I got burnt in the last match backing the New Zealanders at what I thought was a generous price and I am going to stick to the Exotic Markets for this one.
Chris Woakes looked very good on Wednesday and I am hoping that he starts and gets another run at the New Zealand top order.
Suggested Bet: England Top Bowler, Chris Woakes at 5/2
Devon Conway was disappointing for New Zealand in the 3rd ODI, but I rate this man highly and I am going to have a bet on him being the top New Zealand batsman in the innings.
Suggested Bet: Top New Zealand Batsman, Devon Conway at 2/1
