Stage 12 of Tour de France 2022 takes place on Thursday 14th July and there are three HC climbs on the route including a summit finish of the Alpe d’Huez
STAGE 11 UPDATE
We were treated to a thrilling stage and some of the most aggressive tactical riding ever seen in the Tour de France. Jumbo Visma attacked Yellow Jersey Pogacar on the penultimate climb and he finally cracked with Vingegaard shooting clear to win the stage and grab the Yellow Jersey. Quintana was an impressive 2nd on the stage 59 seconds back and Bardet completed the podium and announced himself as a contender for higher honours.
JERSEY UPDATE
Vingegaard now leads Bardet by 2:16 with Pogacar a further 6 seconds back in 3rd. The Dane is now 4/11 to wear Yellow in Paris with Pogacar out to 28/10 – click here for Outright Winner Betting and there is also updated betting on the other classifications with the Polka Dot Jersey in particular likely to provide interest today.

STAGE 12 ROUTE AND PREDICTIONS
This stage is an absolute beast and the riders will be exhausted by the time they hit the lower slopes of Alpe D’Huez a 13.8km brute averaging 8.1% with countless switchbacks. The big question is what tactics Jumbo Visma will apply as if they got for the stage with the intention of capitalising on any Pogacar weakness the break has no chance.
I expect this will come back together as although difficult the stage is not that long and Jumbo Visma can control it.
Nairo Quintana can take advantage of the 2 favourites watching each other and can sneak away for the win.
I also like South African Meintjes to beat Pidcock from team Ineos home at 15/10 in the matchbet market.
SELECTIONS
Quintana win at 25/1
