PSL action continues on Saturday the 19th of September with three fixtures on the programme. Richards Bay welcome Sekhukhune United, Polokwane City host AmaZulu before Kruger United take on Stellenbosch. We cover all three encounters from a betting perspective below.
Richards Bay vs Sekhukhune United – click here to bet
Richards Bay remain without a league victory after collecting three points from their opening six matches. They began with draws against Chippa United, Durban City and Kaizer Chiefs but have since suffered consecutive defeats.
A narrow 2-1 home loss to AmaZulu was followed by a heavy 5-1 defeat away to Milford. Richards Bay have now scored 7 goals this season, although their defensive struggles have seen them concede 13 times.
Sekhukhune United sit in 6th position with eight points from six fixtures. Victories over Durban City and Polokwane City were separated by defeats against Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
They have responded by going unbeaten in their previous two outings, holding TS Galaxy to a goalless draw before earning a 1-1 result away to Stellenbosch.
Head-to-Head:
The previous six meetings have been evenly divided, with both teams recording two victories alongside two draws.
The two league encounters last season each finished 1-1, while Richards Bay earned a 2-1 home victory during the 2024/25 campaign to bounce back from an earlier 2-0 defeat.
Odds: Richards Bay 3.50 | Draw 3.15 | Sekhukhune United 2.35
Verdict:
Richards Bay have shown some attacking promise but enter this fixture following back-to-back defeats and have conceded seven goals across those matches.
Sekhukhune have been more reliable defensively and should take confidence from securing consecutive draws against difficult opposition and their greater stability could prove decisive against a Richards Bay side struggling for results.
Based on the contrasting defensive records and recent form, I am backing Sekhukhune to collect all three points.
Bet: Sekhukhune United at 2.35
Polokwane City vs AmaZulu – click here to bet
Polokwane City have drawn four of their six league matches and occupy 8th position with seven points. Their only victory arrived on the opening day before a 2-0 defeat against Sekhukhune United interrupted their start.
The side have since shared the points in three consecutive fixtures, drawing with Milford, Marumo Gallants and most recently Kaizer Chiefs where the fixture ended 1-1.
AmaZulu enter the weekend in 3rd place on the table after claiming 13 points from their six matches. They have won four times, with their only defeat coming in a 5-2 loss away to Mamelodi Sundowns late last month.
The responded strongly by beating Richards Bay 2-1 on the road before securing a narrow 1-0 home victory over Marumo Gallants a week ago.
Head-to-Head:
Matches between these sides have generally been competitive although AmaZulu have enjoyed the better of the most recent encounters.
They completed a league and cup double over Polokwane City last season, winning 1-0 in the Premiership before claiming a 2-1 Nedbank Cup victory.
Odds: Polokwane City 3.15 | Draw 2.80 | AmaZulu 2.80
Verdict:
Polokwane City have proven difficult to defeat but have struggled to convert competitive performances into victories. Four draws from six matches indicates their resilience as well as their lack of a decisive edge.
AmaZulu arrive with stronger momentum after consecutive wins and have already collected victories both home and away this season. Their recent record against Polokwane City also strengthens their chances on paper.
With AmaZulu performing more consistently the away victory offers attractive value and I think they will find opportunities to break down the Polokwane outfit.
Bet: AmaZulu at 2.80

Kruger United vs Stellenbosch – click here to bet
Kruger United finally registered their first league victory of the season when they defeated TS Galaxy 1-0 away from home in their latest action.
That result ended a difficult spell which included defeats against Milford, Durban City and Orlando Pirates which leaves them in 13th overall heading into Round 7.
Stellenbosch are positioned 10th on the log after recording one victory, three draws and two defeats from their opening six fixtures. Their only success came through an impressive 3-1 home win over Marumo Gallants during their third assignment of the season.
Recent results have been tight with Stellenbosch following a 1-0 defeat against Golden Arrows with goalless and 1-1 draws against Durban City and Sekhukhune United respectively.
Head-to-Head:
These teams have met only once previously, with that encounter taking place in the Nedbank Cup in January 2025.
Stellenbosch emerged with a 2-1 victory on that occasion and will be looking to maintain their perfect record against Kruger United.
Odds: Kruger United 3.40 | Draw 3.00 | Stellenbosch 2.50
Verdict:
Kruger United will be encouraged by their breakthrough victory although their attacking ability remains a concern after scoring only three times in six matches.
Stellenbosch have also lacked consistency but possess more topflight experience and have lost only once across their previous four fixtures. Their recent defensive displays suggest they are capable of controlling another low scoring contest and I am backing them to follow through with this.
Bet: Match result and over/under 2.5 goals, Stellenbosch and Under at 4.25
