ZAAKIR BADAT vs ZIKO MAKENGELE
Welterweight Championship Fight – Main Event:
Zaakir Badat enters this headline bout holding an EFC record of 6 wins without a loss. The South African welterweight has been dominant inside the promotion with a balanced skillset and a strong submission game, having finished the majority of his fights inside the distance.
He last fought in June 2025 where he secured a first-round submission victory over Segun Ogunnoki. Prior to that he submitted Luke Michael in the opening round and had earlier recorded a knockout win over Jailson Sousa.
Ziko Makengele comes into this fight with a resume of 5 wins and 2 losses within the institution. He is a powerful striker with all of his victories coming by knockout in the early stages of the fight, making him a constant threat on the feet.
His latest EFC appearance came in August 2025 where he secured a first-round knockout victory over Wallace Okosso, although before that he suffered back-to-back stoppage defeats against Ndidi Alonu and Mark Hulme.

Badat 1.18
Makengele 4.30
PREDICTION:
Badat brings an unbeaten EFC record with elite grappling while Makengele has the knockout power to end the fight at any moment but has struggled in the past when the fight hits the canvas. If Badat can avoid early exchanges and take the fight to the ground, he should be able to control proceedings and I am expecting him to win by early submission.

HANRU BOTHA vs SHADRICK DJU YEMBA
Featherweight – Co-Main Event:
Hanru Botha enters this contest with a record of 8 wins and 5 losses under the organisation. The South African holds ample experience at featherweight and possesses heavy hitting punches which have won him several fights in the opening round.
His last appearance came in July 2025 where he secured a decision victory over Ayanda Zwane while prior to that he suffered a knockout defeat to Kaleka Kabanda but had earlier recorded a first-round stoppage win over Osvaldo Benedito.
Shadrick Dju Yemba comes into this bout holding an EFC tally of 5 wins without a loss. He is a dangerous on the feet as well as when the fight gets taken down to the mat but his last couple of performances have gone the distance.
His most recent outing came in June 2024 where he secured a decision victory over Jean-Jacques Lubaya under the PFL promotion which followed a points triumph over Robert Miyaba in December. Prior to his transition to the PFL he was on a four fight win streak with dominant stoppage victories inside the EFC.

Botha 2.70
Dju Yemba 1.40
PREDICTION:
Dju Yemba has the stronger overall record inside the EFC and carries more consistent finishing ability while Botha has experience but has struggled for momentum. If Dju Yemba can impose his pace he should be able to find a finish by submission.
BRANDON SANTOS vs LIHLE NGAMNTHWINI
Flyweight – Main Card Bout:
Brandon Santos enters the cage with an EFC record of 3 wins and 1 loss. The South African flyweight has shown a composed approach with strong decision making and improving grappling.
His latest EFC appearance came in December 2025 where he secured a first-round submission victory over Godknows Ndlovu after he submitted Kgaugelo Moishela but he had dropped a decision against Emerson Pedro before that.
Lihle Ngamnthwini steps into the cage holding 5 wins and 2 losses in his professional career. He is a submission specialist although the majority of his victories have come by decision in the EFC.
He last fought in December 2025 where he suffered a first-round knockout defeat to Tumelo Manyamala. Prior to that he had recorded three consecutive decision victories over Tebatso Molele, Kelvin Smit and Salahuddin Plaatjies.

Santos 2.10
Ngamnthwini 1.65
PREDICTION:
Santos has the stronger finishing ability and has proven he can get the job done early while Ngamnthwini tends to rely on decisions. If Santos can bring the fight into grappling exchanges, he should have the edge and I am backing him to win by submission and cause an upset.
