Stage 14 of the Tour de France is an absolute brute covering 182.6km from Pau to Luchon-Superbagnères with over 5000 metres of climbing.

Stage 13 Review
The betting proved to be spot on in this 10.9km ITT where they final 8km were at 7.9%. Pogacar was always in control and although Vingegaard put in an excellent ride he finished 36 seconds behind. Roglic showed some good legs to finish 3rd 1:20 behind the Yellow Jersey.

Stage Profile
The 1st 60km are flattish but the road starts rising to the sprint point at the bottom of the 1st HC climb the legendary Col du Tourmalet. It is then up and down all day with a Cat 2, a Cat 1 and finally Luchon-Superbagnères an HC climb of 12.4km at 7.3%.
Stage 14 – What to Expect
This is a massive day for the Polka Dot Jersey but it won’t be easy for the climbers to get in the break given the start is flat. It may well be that the break takes ages to form and if so it may only go on the Tourmalet.
The big question is whether UAE will control to bring everything together for a Pogacar stage win?
I am not sure they will but there may be other teams willing to make the stage hard like Bora to put Remco under pressure.
