There is one English Premier League match taking place on Friday night and it sees Nottingham Forest host Sheffield United. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Nottingham were away at Arsenal and the Gunners were in rampant form early scoring in the 26th and 32nd minutes for a 2-0 half-time lead. Nottingham gave a better account of themselves in the second-half and pulled one back in the 82nd minute, but they were unable to find an equaliser.
SHEFFIELD UNITED
Sheffield United returned to the Premiership, but they were underdogs at home to Crystal Palace in their first match with Palace starting 12/10 favourites. The visitors justified the price, scoring the only goal in the 49th minute and as the long term markets suggest, Sheffield United look likely to be in for a long and hard season.
HEAD TO HEAD
These sides last met in 2021/22 season where they met four times with 2 matches taking place in the regular season both finishing 1-1. They then met in the playoffs where Nottingham won 2-1 at Sheffield United. Sheffield United returned the favour in the away leg but Nottingham eventually won on penalties and they would go on to be promoted.

Both teams found the back of the net in all 4 meetings last season and that is trading at 21/20 while over 2.5 goals is trading at 12/10. At the end of the day though I am going to keep it simple and back Nott Forest to win the game at 9/10.
They play their first home match this season and I thought they did okay against a strong Arsenal side last weekend. Sheffield United on the other hand go on the road for the first time and they have already had a glimpse of how tough it is going to be in the EPL.
