DSTV Premiership Betting Preview, 1 and 2 May

There are two DSTV Premiership matches taking place over Monday and Tuesday and we suggest a bet in each of the games.

MONDAY

Kaizer Chiefs v Swallows – Click here to bet

Kaizer Chiefs are currently 4^th on the log with 5 wins, a draw and a loss in their last 7 games.  Last time out they beat Chippa United 1-0 on the road and overall at home this season they have won 6 and drawn 3 of 13 matches.  Goals have been hard to come by in recent Kaizer Chiefs matches and their last 3 games have all delivered profits for under 2.5 goal backers.

Swallows are 13^th on the log and are probably 1 win away from safety.  They picked up a much needed 3 points last time out when they beat Maritzburg United 1-0 at home and their last away game was a 3-0 defeat to Swallows.  Had you been backing both teams to score in recent Swallows games you would be heading to your bank manager for a loan as it would not have paid out in their last 5 matches.

Chiefs beat Swallows 2-1 on the road earlier in the season and this fixture finished 2-2 last season.

Chiefs are 8/10 to win the match, but I think a desperate Swallows team can grab a point.

TUESDAY

SuperSport United v Stellenbosch – Click here to bet

SuperSport United are currently 3^rd on the log with 2 wins and 2 draws in their last 4 games and they have only lost 1 of their last 10 matches.  SuperSport beat AmaZulu 2-1 at home last time out and they have yet to lose a match on home soil this season.

Stellenbosch are currently 6^th on the log with 3 wins and 2 losses in their last 5.  They are coming off back-to-back home wins over Golden Arrows and Swallows, both by 3 goal margins, but they have only won 3 times in 13 starts on this road this season.

SuperSport beat Stellenbosch 2-0 away from home in the reverse fixture and last season this fixture finished goalless.

I am quite tempted by the 11/8 on offer that we get over 2.5 goals in this game as Stellenbosch’s last 4 matches have all delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers.  At the end of the day though I think SuperSport are the bet here given their excellent home record and the fact that Stellenbosch, despite recent improvement, have been struggling on their travels.
