UFC Fight Night continues this weekend at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The prelim fights start on Saturday the 10th of August and running into the early hours of Sunday morning South African time.
We look at the main event and 2 supporting fights on the card that will be held from a betting point of view.

MARCIN TYBURA vs SERGHEI SPIVAC
Heavyweight Main Event:
Marcin Tybura is a Polish fighter who has a ton of experience behind him. Marcin is known for his powerful striking and his stamina which he often uses to achieve decision wins. He has had a decent career in the UFC, and he has fought 19 times, winning 12 and losing 7. He has won 3 of his last 4 fights with his loss to current Champion, Tom Aspinall.
His most recent fight was against Tai Tuivasa in March, where he won by round 1 submission without much trouble from his opponent.
Serghei Spivac, fighting out of Moldova possesses good grappling skills but he is also a fighter who can throw a mean punch. He has less experience in the UFC than his opponent but nevertheless he has fought 11 times, winning on 7 occasions and losing 4 fights. Prior to his most recent fight he was on a 3-fight win streak and on solid form.
His most recent fight was against Cyril Gane in September last year where Spivac lost the fight via TKO in round 2, but only time will tell if that was just a blip or if he has reached his level.

I believe that Spivac will be too strong for Tybura with a submission win in round 2.

CHRIS GUTIERREZ vs QUANG LE
Bantamweight Fight:
Chris Gutierrez is an American striker who is known for his effective punches and his athletic ability. He has been successful in the UFC, and he has fought 12 times, sitting on a record reflecting 8 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw.
He has won 3 of his last 5 fights however he hasn’t been on top form, having both of his losses fall within his last 3 fights. His last fight was against Song Yadong in December last year where he lost by decision.
Quang Le is a well-rounded fighter from America, he has been pulled into this fight at late notice and he will be making his UFC debut this weekend. Prior to the UFC he has had an unbeaten run amongst other organisations and he currently holds a career record of 8 fights without a loss.
His most recent fight took place in April this year, fighting in the “LFA” institute, where he took on Tial Thang and won the fight by round 1 TKO.

I believe Gutierrez will use his professional experience against the unknown Le and will win the fight by KO in round 2.
DAMON JACKSON vs JOSE MARISCAL
Featherweight Fight:
Damon Jackson, fighting out of America, had a stint fighting in the UFC from 2014 to 2016, he then had a lengthy break and re-joined the organisation in 2020. Since his return he has fought 9 times, winning 6 and losing 3 times.
His most recent fight was against Alexander Hernandez in April where he won the bout by decision.
Jose Mariscal is an American fighter who is known for his stamina and effective striking, he has been in the UFC for just over a year and he has shown great talent so far, winning all 3 of his fights to date.
His most recent fight took place in April where he went head-to-head with Morgan Charriere and picked up a decision verdict after the fight went the distance.
