EFC 109 is set to take place this Thursday the 9th of November at the EFC Performance Institute in Johannesburg. We look at the main event between Henning and Mulenga, as well as 2 supporting main card bouts from a betting angle.

COLE HENNING V HUMPHREY MULENGA
Lightweight Main Event:
Cole Henning is fighting out of Silverlakes in Pretoria. He is known for his power and aggression, however, he has been on either side of the draw in his last 4 fights, winning 2 and losing 2. After a round 4 TKO loss in his fight against Tshilomba Mikixi at EFC 100, Henning had a round 3 submission win over Tapiwa Katikati at EFC 104.
Henning will enter the octagon as the slight underdog, but he will fancy his chances of a victory and hopefully, another title shot soon.
Humphrey Mulenga is a fighter from Johannesburg who is known for his clean striking, he has been in good form of late, winning his last 4 fights, with 3 of them being in the EFC. His most recent fight was in September where he also took on Tapiwa KatiKati at EFC 107, winning by TKO.
Mulenga enters the fight as the favourite in the betting and like his opponent, he will be eyeing a title shot in the near future.

Henning (23/20)
Mulenga (4/6)
PREDICTION:
I believe that Mulenga will simply be too good for Henning on the night, and he will win by round 4 TKO.
VINCE BEMBE V DEMBA SECK
Featherweight Bout:
Vince Bembe is an experienced EFC fighter who is known for his effective striking and his grappling on the canvas. He has won 3 of his last 5 fights, with 1 being declared a draw, however his most recent fight ended in a loss to Igeu Kabesa at EFC 104 via submission.
Bembe will be hungry to re-ignite another winning streak with a win on Thursday night, and he enters the fight as a heavy favourite.
Demba Seck has competed in 4 professional fights in his career so far, winning 3 and losing 1. He has only entered the EFC octagon once so far, where he beat Stephan De la Rey by decision last year at EFC 96.
Due to his lack of EFC experience, Seck will be seen as the dark horse in the betting markets, and he will be determined to defy the betting odds.

Bembe (1/4)
Seck (28/10)
PREDICTION:
I think that Bembe will put his experience to good use and overcome Seck early on with a round 2 submission win.
JAILSON DE SOUSA V KHULEKANI HLONGWA
Welterweight Bout:
Jailson De Sousa is a fighter who has very little experience in the EFC so far, with his only fight ending in a round 1 ground and pound loss to Ziko Makengele at EFC Fight Night. He however still enters this fight as the betting favourite, and he will look to turn his career in the right direction with a crucial win at EFC 109.
Khulekani Hlongwa is a fighter who shows great experience in the MMA field, however, he has been on the losing side of things more times than the winning side. He currently sits on a record of 4-6 and with his unimpressive results over the years, he will be looking for an upset win in this fight in order to keep his career alive.

De Sousa (8/13)
Hlongwa (15/4)
PREDICTION:
I believe that although De Sousa lacks experience, he will show why he is the favourite with a dominant fight, finishing Hlongwa in round 1 by TKO.
Suggested Bets: Updated Thursday 10h17
Henning v Mulenga
Mulenga by Finish at 4/7
Bembe v Seck
Bembe by Finish at 6/10
De Sousa v Hlongwa
De Sousa to win at 19/20
