The first of the big European Finals takes place in Budapest on Wednesday and sees Sevilla up against Roma in the Europa Cup and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
SEVILLA
Sevilla booked their spot in the Final with a hard fought 3-2 aggregate win over Juventus and they required extra time in their home leg to get the job done. They also faced a tough quarter-final opponent in Manchester United, but after drawing 2-2 at Old Trafford they won the home leg 3-0 with a comfortable 5-2 aggregate victory. In an earlier round they had beaten Fenerbahce 2-1 on aggregate in the Round of 16 and PSV were beaten 3-2 over two legs in the Round of 32.
Sevilla have only taken 2 points from the last 9 they have played for in the League and on the weekend they went down 2-1 at home to Real Madrid.
AS ROMA
AS Roma came through a tense, low scoring 2-legged semi-final encounter, 1-0 on aggregate having taken the Lead in the 1st leg and then stretching their opponents, Bayer Leverkusen to a goalless draw away from home. In the quarter-finals they required extra time to beat Feyenoord 4-2 on aggregate once again doing the damage at home and the Round of 16 also saw them win their home leg 2-0 against Real Sociedad before playing out a goalless draw in Spain. Salzburg were their Round of 32 opponents where a 2-1 aggregate win saw them through.
Roma have also taken just 2 points from the last 9 they have played for in the League and they were beaten 2-1 on the road by Fiorentina on the weekend.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Theses sides last met in the Europa League quarter-finals back in 2020 with Sevilla winning 2-0 at home.

Sevilla 33/20
Draw 21/10
Roma 39/20
Other popular markets include over and under 2.5 goals where the under 2.5 goals is trading as a heavy favourite at 5/10. You can get 19/20 both teams finding the back of the net and Youssef En-nesyri is the 4/1 favourite to open the scoring.
When under 2.5 goals is priced at 5/10 you know that bookmakers are expecting a really tight game and I think the draw is worth a punt at anything above 2/1.
Suggested Bet: The Draw at 21/10
For those looking for a more speculative play the 0-0 correct score option is available at 11/2 and I quite like that in a game where I expect defences to dominate.
