CHELSEA vs BARCELONA
Chelsea come into this match in 12th on the log with seven points after winning two, drawing one and losing one of their opening fixtures. Their home form has been solid and they are unbeaten across their two clashes with an aggregate of 6 goals for and 1 against.
Their recent action saw them draw 2-2 to Qarabag on the road earlier this month which followed a dominant display over Ajax who they hammered 5-1 at home.
Barcelona sit in 11th on the table with seven points as well. Of their games played they have won two, drawn one and lost one and hold a goal difference of +5. They have looked fluid on attack despite experiencing a few defensive lapses.
They last played on the 5th of November where they met with Club Brugge KV and settled for a 3-3 draw although they were comfortable favourites. Prior to that they played Olympiacos Piraeus and claimed a 6-1 victory on home soil.
Head-to-Head
The last time these sides met was in a club friendly back in 2019 when Chelsea edged the contest 2-1 to win as narrow underdogs on the night.

Chelsea 2.40

Barcelona 2.70
Verdict
Chelsea have been reliable at home, while Barcelona’s attacking threat makes them dangerous. I believe both teams will score but that the home team can prevail.

MANCHESTER CITY vs BAYER LEVERKUSEN
Manchester City are in strong form and sit 4th overall with 10 points from four games of which they have won three and drawn the other.
They beat Dortmund 4-1 at home last time out and their only dropped points came in a 2-2 draw away to Monaco last month. The team has been impressive at home, winning both of their clashes while scoring freely and letting in a singular goal.
Bayer Leverkusen sit in 21st spot on the leaderboard with five points from their four games due to winning one, drawing two and losing one. They have lacked attacking structure scoring just 6 goals and their defensive inconsistency has led to them letting 10 past the keeper.
They battled against PSG late last month, going down 7-2 at home but they bounced back with a 1-0 triumph over Benfica when they played them in front of an opposing crowd a few weeks ago.
Head-to-Head
These two sides have never met before in official competition.

Manchester City 1.23

Bayer Leverkusen 11.00
Verdict
Manchester City should dominate, and Leverkusen’s defensive issues indicate a one-sided game on paper. I think City should win and am backing them to do so with 3 goals or less in the game.
