The UEFA Champions League action continues on Wednesday night, and we look at three of the standout fixtures from a betting perspective.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting, and in particular the League Stage winner where PSG are trading at 2.60 favourites after last nights 7-2 demolition of Leverkusen on the road with Arsenal priced at 3.00 after banging 4 second half goals past Atletico Madrid. You can get 8.00 and better the balance.

CHELSEA vs AJAX
Chelsea bounced back from a 3-1 defeat away to Bayern Munich by edging out Benfica 1-0 at Stamford Bridge last time out. They sit mid-table in 18th with 3 points from two games, and while their performances have lacked flair of late, they have been efficient at home.
Notably they have gone unbeaten across their last two Prem fixtures.
Ajax are rooted to the bottom of the standings in 35th position after two heavy losses, conceding six goals without reply. Their 4-0 defeat to Marseille last time highlighted defensive frailties and this followed a 2-0 defeat to Inter in their first match of the tournament.
They will look to gain some form and climb the table, however with inconsistent results in the Eredivisie league, where they’ve lost two, drawn two and won 1 match, this seems to be a big ask.
Head-to-Head
The most memorable clash between these sides came in the 2019/20 Champions’ League group stage when they shared a thrilling 4-4 draw in London. Earlier that season Chelsea edged them 1-0 on the road.

Chelsea 1.26
Draw 6.50
Ajax 9.50
Verdict
Chelsea have been solid defensively but haven’t exactly been free scoring. Ajax are struggling for confidence, and it’s hard to see them troubling the hosts. I’m backing Chelsea to keep a clean sheet.

MONACO vs TOTTENHAM
Monaco are yet to register a win in the competition, taking just one point from two games and they sit in 30th on the log. They were impressive in parts of their 2-2 home draw against Manchester City, but their 4-1 defeat to Club Brugge in the opener showed inconsistency both at the back and in their finishing abilities.
They head into this fixture off back-to-back draws against Nice and Angers in the Ligue 1 division where they currently sit 7th.
Tottenham are unbeaten so far, with a 1-0 home win over Villarreal followed by a 2-2 draw away to Bodo/Glimt to start their 25/26 campaign. Spurs have been creating plenty of chances but need to convert more often if they’re to stay competitive in this competition.
They beat Leeds 2-1 away from home in the league but were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa at home on Sunday.
Head-to-Head
The most recent meetings between the sides took place in the 2016/2017 season where Monaco triumphed 2-1 in both fixtures.

Monaco 2.80
Draw 3.65
Tottenham 2.35
Verdict
This looks evenly matched on paper. Tottenham have the stronger squad, but Monaco’s home crowd and attacking style make them dangerous. Goals look likely at both ends, and that’s where I’m heading.

REAL MADRID vs JUVENTUS
Real Madrid have made a flawless start with six points from six, scoring seven goals and conceding just once. They thrashed Kairat Almaty 5-0 away before edging Marseille 2-1 at home.
With a dominant start to their campaign, Los Blancos are 8.00 to top the group stages.
Juventus are in 23rd overall and have drawn both their opening fixtures, 4-4 at home to Dortmund and 2-2 away to Villarreal. They will need something special here to stay alive in the group and avoid falling further behind.
Their defence looks shaky, and they’ve battled to keep clean sheets across all competitions recently.
Head-to-Head
Their latest head-to-head action was held in the Fifa Club World Cup in July where Real Madrid took the spoils with a 1-0 victory. Prior to that they met in a club friendly back in 2023 where Juventus beat Real 3-1 at home.

Real Madrid 1.51
Draw 4.75
Juventus 5.75
Verdict
Real Madrid are full of confidence and should dominate this one, but Juventus’ attacking threat means there could be goals from both teams. I’m expecting the hosts to edge a lively affair.
