ARSENAL vs ATLÉTICO MADRID
Arsenal are currently sitting 5th on the table after two opening victories that began by beating Athletic Bilbao 2-0 on the road and then beat Olympiacos Piraeus 2-0 at home, a game where they started at prohibitive 1.20 odds.
The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 8 games across all competitions and have won their last 5 including beating Fulham 1-0 away in the League on the weekend, a result that sees them in top spot in the EPL.
Atlético Madrid are 10th on the League table having lost 3-2 away to Liverpool before hammering Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 at home in their last start, a game where they started 1.45 favourites.
They are unbeaten in their last 7 starts and on the weekend were too strong for Osasuna at home, winning 1-0, a result which leaves them 4th in LaLiga.
Head-to-Head
These sides last met in International Champions Cup in 2018 with Atlético Madrid winning 2-1 and in four meetings they have beaten Arsenal twice, lost once with one draw.

Verdict
I think this is going to be a tight game, but I fancy Arsenal will get the job done at home and I am going to bet that it is by exactly 1 goal.

VILLARREAL vs MANCHESTER CITY
Villarreal are languishing in 26th on the table with just 1 point in their opening two games that came last time out at home to Juventus where the sides drew 2-2. In their opening fixture they were away to Tottenham and lost 1-0.
Villarreal are without a win in their last three games across all competitions and on the weekend played to a 2-2 home draw to Real Betis and they apparently sit 3rd on the LaLiga table.
Manchester City are 8th on the table taking 4 points from a possible 6. They opened their campaign with a 2-0 home win over Napoli, a game they were fancied to win at 1.61. They were then away to Monaco where they were strong favourites at 1.40, but the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
After a slow start to the season Manchester City have found their form and they are unbeaten in their last 8 games with 6 wins and 2 draws. On the weekend in the English Premier League they were at home to Everton winning thanks to 2 second-half goals. That result puts them up to 2nd on the English Premier League table.
Head-to-Head
These sides last met in the Champions League in the 2011/2012 season where Manchester City won home and away.

Verdict
I am expecting this to be an open game and if pushed I would suggest that Manchester City will get the win. My focus though is on the goals market and I am looking for 4 or more in the match.
