The Allianz Arena plays host to Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final as Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan go head-to-head in the biggest game of the European season. For PSG, it’s a long-awaited opportunity to finally lift the continent’s most prestigious prize and bring the Qatari ownership era full circle. For Inter, it’s a shot at redemption and a chance to secure a fourth European crown, having last lifted the trophy in 2010.
Here are my thoughts on how the final might unfold, along with a suggested bet for what looks set to be a tense and potentially tightly contested encounter—despite the high-scoring performances both teams have delivered on the road to Munich.

Thirteen-time Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are back on the biggest stage in European football as they prepare to contest Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final at the Allianz Arena in Munich. With a fourth straight domestic title and last weekend’s 3-0 French Cup triumph already secured, Luis Enrique’s men are now one win away from a historic treble.
Despite wrapping up the domestic league title over a month ago, PSG’s European campaign has been far less straightforward. The Parisians scraped into the knockout phase after finishing 15th overall in the league stage, requiring a playoff to progress. Since then, though, they’ve grown stronger with each round—demolishing Brest 10-0 on aggregate, edging Liverpool on penalties after a 1-1 draw across two legs, narrowly beating Aston Villa 5-4, and delivering a composed performance to dispatch Arsenal 3-1 in the semi-finals.
PSG have scored 33 goals and conceded just 10 in 16 matches during their Champions League run, but the pressure is firmly on to deliver in a final that has eluded them for years. This marks their second appearance in the competition’s showpiece—their first since a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in 2020
Their opponents, however, bring more experience and pedigree at this level. Inter Milan are contesting their seventh Champions League final and chasing a fourth European crown. While they fell short in Serie A on the final day, losing the title to Napoli, Simone Inzaghi’s side have been far more impressive throughout their European campaign.
Inter finished fourth in the league phase (W6, D1, L1), boasting a tight defence that conceded just once. In the knockouts, they beat Feyenoord 4-1, edged Bayern Munich 4-3, and won a dramatic 7-6 semi-final thriller—sealed by an extra-time winner against Barcelona. They’ve scored 15 goals in their last six knockout games, showing a sharp edge in front of goal when it matters most.
Saturday’s clash pits PSG’s attacking flair against Inter’s tactical discipline. With recent finals tending to be cagey—each of the last six Champions League finals featured two goals or fewer and only one team scored—this could be another tight affair.
Head-to-Head
This marks the first-ever competitive meeting between PSG and Inter Milan. All five of their previous encounters were friendlies, with PSG winning three, Inter one, and one ending in a draw. Inter are unbeaten in the last two, with their most recent meeting taking place in 2023.
Betting
Paris Saint-Germain 12/10
Draw 95/40
Inter Milan 5/2
Verdict
PSG have the firepower and form to trouble any opponent, but Inter’s experience and tactical discipline suggest they’re well-equipped to handle the occasion. With so much on the line, caution often shapes the tempo of finals, resulting in more measured, risk-averse encounters. That’s reflected in recent history, with each of the last six Champions League finals featuring two goals or fewer. Inter could frustrate the Parisians and either extend the contest or edge it themselves. Backing the Italian side to avoid defeat in 90 minutes (double chance) offers protection for extra time, while the likelihood of a tight, low-scoring game adds value to under 4.5 goals.
Suggested Bet: Double Chance and Total – Draw/Inter Milan & Under 4.5 Goals at 8/10
