We take a look at three fixtures this weekend, headlined by AC Milan’s clash with AS Roma at the San Siro, a top-four showdown that could have major implications in the Serie A title race. On Saturday, Napoli will aim to consolidate top spot when they welcome an in-form Como to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, while Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus begin a new chapter on the road against an improving Cremonese side.
Despite sitting third, Inter Milan have tightened their grip on favouritism for the title at 13/10, with Napoli drifting slightly to 5/2 and AC Milan next in line at 9/2. AS Roma follow at 17/2, while Juventus sit further back at 19/1 under new management. Beyond that, the chasing pack are priced at 50/1 or longer.

SATURDAY
NAPOLI v COMO – Click here to bet
We start off this weekend’s Serie A action at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, where Napoli take on Como in Round 10. The boys from Naples returned to the top of the log following Tuesday’s 1-0 victory away to Lecce, making it two league wins on the bounce within four days. With 21 points, Antonio Conte’s men can ill afford any slip-ups this weekend, knowing AS Roma are breathing down their necks in second place, separated only by goal difference. That said, with yet another congested schedule ahead for the Azzurri, Conte will need to consider rotating his squad, given they return to European action just four days later to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
Thankfully for Napoli, both this weekend’s fixture and their European tie will be played in Naples, where Conte’s side have excelled throughout the campaign. They remain unbeaten on home soil across all competitions, winning all four league games as well as their Champions League clash against Sporting CP.
Como, meanwhile, travel south looking to continue an impressive run of form that has seen them go eight matches unbeaten in all competitions. The previous round brought their fourth league win of the season after a 3-1 home victory over Verona, placing Cesc Fàbregas’s men just outside the top four in fifth place with 16 points. Away from home, Como remain unbeaten in their last three (W1 D2), with their only league defeat coming in Round 2, a 1-0 reverse away to Bologna, leaving them with five points from a possible twelve on the road.
Head-to-Head
Last season saw both sides register home wins, with Napoli triumphing 3-1 in this fixture before Como claimed a 2-1 victory in the reverse encounter.
Betting
Napoli 91/100
Draw 12/5
Como 7/2
Verdict
Napoli have hit their stride under Antonio Conte, winning their last two league games on the bounce, including a convincing 3-1 victory over current league favourites Inter Milan. Confidence is clearly back in the camp, and their home form remains a major asset. While the price of 91/100 may reflect some of their current injury concerns, it’s not quite a full-blown crisis yet for Conte’s side. Como have shown plenty of fight this season, but this represents a real test of their progress. The visitors could make things competitive early on, though Napoli’s extra quality and home advantage should tell as the game wears on.
Suggested Bet: Napoli to Win at 91/100
CREMONESE v JUVENTUS – Click here to bet
Unbeaten in their last three starts, with two draws and a win, Cremonese return to Stadio Giovanni Zini this Saturday to play host to Juventus, hoping to make it back-to-back wins for only the second time this season. Wednesday’s 2-0 victory away to Genoa marked their first win in seven games, a period largely dominated by draws (five in total). Davide Nicola’s side have settled in well following promotion, with the Grigiorossi currently eighth in the Serie A standings on 14 points after nine matches. At home, Cremonese are yet to taste defeat this season, registering one win and three draws from their opening four fixtures, taking their overall tally to six points from a possible twelve on home soil.
Juventus travel to Cremonese looking to build on a much-needed 3-1 midweek win over Udinese that ended an eight-match winless run and brought some relief after a turbulent spell. A gruelling run of four games in eleven days culminated in a 1-0 defeat at Lazio and the dismissal of Igor Tudor, paving the way for Luciano Spalletti to take charge of his first match at the helm this weekend. The victory over Udinese, under the guidance of interim boss Massimo Brambilla, lifted the Old Lady to seventh in the Serie A standings with 15 points from nine matches.
The new boss faces an immediate test away from home, where Juve have struggled badly of late, losing their last three on the road in all competitions, including back-to-back Serie A defeats. With just four points from a possible twelve and only one clean sheet on their travels this season, Spalletti will be desperate to spark a turnaround before attention shifts to their Champions League clash with Sporting SP three days later.
Head-to-Head
These two last met in the 2022/23 season where Juventus secured a league double over Cremonese after registering a 1-0 win in this fixture followed by a 2-0 victory in the reverse encounter in Turin.
Betting
Cremonese 11/2
Draw 13/4
Juventus 51/100
Verdict
Juventus’ midweek win offered a glimmer of hope, and with Luciano Spalletti now in charge, the prospect of a new manager bounce cannot be discounted. That said, Cremonese have proven stubborn at home, unbeaten in four and often difficult to break down. With Juve still fragile on their travels, this could prove another tight affair where moments of quality, rather than dominance, decide the outcome.
Suggested Bet: Juventus to Win or Draw (Double Chance) & Under 2.5 Goals at around 6/5
SUNDAY
AC MILAN v AS ROMA – Click here to bet
Sunday evening’s schedule brings about a rather tasty encounter between two sides locked inside the top four, as AC Milan host AS Roma at the San Siro. The Rossoneri will hope home advantage helps them leapfrog their visitors in the standings. Currently fourth with 18 points, Massimiliano Allegri’s men come into Week 10 following a 1-1 draw away to Atalanta on Tuesday, making it back-to-back league draws. Despite the recent drop in points, Milan are unbeaten in nine across all competitions (W6 D3), collecting an impressive 18 points from their last eight league fixtures.
Back at home this weekend, Milan have secured 10 points from a possible 12 at the San Siro in Serie A (W3 D1). After opening their home campaign with a defeat, Allegri’s men have gone unbeaten in their last five matches across domestic and cup competitions (W4 D1), showing marked consistency in front of their own fans.
Not to be outdone, AS Roma head into this clash in excellent form themselves. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side sit second in the table on 21 points, trailing Napoli only on goal difference. The Giallorossi earned a 2-1 home win over Parma on Wednesday, their second successive league victory, and remain without a draw in Serie A this season, winning seven of nine.
Unlike Milan, Roma have European duties next week as they travel to Scotland to face Rangers in the Europa League, though given the importance of Sunday’s fixture, Gasperini is expected to field his strongest XI. Roma also boast the best away record in Serie A this season, winning all four of their road matches and conceding just once during that run.
Head-to-Head
Last season, Roma took four points from a possible six against Milan, drawing 1-1 at the San Siro before winning 3-1 in the reverse fixture. Milan, however, did claim a 3-1 victory when the sides met in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Betting
AC Milan 11/10
Draw 9/4
AS Roma 57/20
Verdict
Two in-form sides meet in what promises to be a tense, tactical contest. Roma’s away record is outstanding, while Milan’s home form remains equally strong. With both teams difficult to break down yet carrying attacking threats, AS Roma may have to settle for their first draw of the season in what shapes up as a close, high-quality battle.
Suggested Bet: Draw at 9/4
