We’ll be examining three Serie A matches taking place this weekend and we suggest a bet in each game.
With Inter Milan having secured the title, there are alternative options such as exotic markets like top 4, relegation as well as top goal scorer should any of these options interest you.

SATURDAY 4 MAY
SASSUOLO v INTER MILAN– Click here to bet
League strugglers Sassuolo face a difficult challenge this Saturday as they host newly crowned Serie A champions Inter Milan at Mapei Stadium. Currently 19th in the league, the Neroverdi have only four games remaining to salvage their status in top-flight football. However, given how things have transpired for the Black and Greens, they have a mountain to climb. Having obtained just 3 points from a possible 18 in their last 6 league outings, a lot of work is required if they are to achieve what looks to be an extremely difficult task ahead. Sassuolo go into this match having suffered back-to-back defeats in the league, with their most recent encounter resulting in a 5-1 loss away to Fiorentina. At home, they’ve managed only four wins, five draws, and have suffered eight defeats to date.
Sassuolo have averaged 1.29 goals per game at home this season, with over 2.5 goals arriving in 52.9% of those encounters (9 out of 17)
Inter Milan visit Mapei Stadium on Saturday evening, having wrapped up Serie A with five games to spare. Last weekend’s 2-0 win over Torino meant they could celebrate in style at their beloved San Siro in front of their home crowd. Despite securing the league, the Nerazzurri will have other ambitions in mind, knowing they can achieve a new club record if they surpass 97 points this season. With four games remaining and nine points required, Filippo Inzaghi and his team know they are just three wins away from rewriting the books at Inter Milan. Away from home, the mighty Black and Blues have been ruthless, achieving 14 wins and 2 draws to date.
Inter Milan have averaged 2.37 goal per game away from home this season, with over 2.5 goals slightly favoured at 56.25% of those games (9 out of 16).
Head-to-Head
Sassuolo won the reverse fixture 2-1 earlier in the season with Inter Milan winning 2-1 in this fixture last season.
Verdict
There is no doubt that Sassuolo need the points more here, but considering Inter have their own vested interests in terms of personal gain and their club’s history to consider, their class should prevail in the end. Sassuolo have suffered two heavy defeats recently, and the
visitors have arguably fared better away than at home this season. My preference is for both teams to find the net and Inter Milan to prevail in the end.
Suggested Bet: Result and Both Teams to Score, Inter Milan and yes at 18/10
SUNDAY 5 MAY
AC MILAN v GENOA– Click here to bet
AC Milan are currently 2nd in the league and will secure their place in next season’s Champions League campaign should they obtain all three points this Sunday. With history firmly behind them, the Rossoneri will fancy their chances of getting the job done this weekend. The Black and Reds have won their last four league encounters against Genoa overall, which is welcoming news given that AC Milan have struggled of late, failing to register a win in their last five league appearances. Their most recent outing resulted in a 0-0 draw away to Juventus, and they will be hoping to return to winning ways at the San Siro this weekend. At home, AC Milan have been very good, securing 11 wins, 2 draws, and succumbing to 3 defeats in the process.
AC Milan have averaged 1.68 goals per game at home this season, with under 2.5 goals arriving in 56.25% of those encounters (9 out of 16)
It has been a positive return to Serie A for Genoa, who currently occupy 12th position in the league standings. The Griffin’s will be content with what they have achieved in their first season back, knowing they have already secured their place for next season with four games to spare. The Red and Blues will make the journey to the San Siro this Sunday off the back of a 3-0 win over Cagliari this past Monday, hoping to improve their recent form away from home after registering just one win in the last six on the road, taking their overall tally to 4 wins, 6 draws, and 7 losses to date.
Genoa have averaged 0.88 goals per game away from home this season, with under 2.5 goals arriving in 58.8% of those games (10 out of 17)
Head-to-Head
AC Milan won the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier this season.
Verdict
Genoa have made their mark this season and will be content with what they’ve achieved so far. AC Milan will want to wrap up their Champions League aspirations as soon as possible, and knowing they are a win away from achieving that, we could see a clinical performance from the hosts, especially considering Genoa have nothing to play for.
Suggested Bet: AC Milan win to nil, yes at 13/10

ROMA v JUVENTUS– Click here to bet
Roma currently sit in 5th position, qualifying for the Europa League at present. There is no doubt they will be targeting Champions League qualification, as there are only four points separating them from 4th-placed Bologna, who currently hold the upper hand. With four games remaining, the Giallorossi can ill afford any further slip-ups if they are to achieve their desired goals for next season. This Sunday, they will host Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico, knowing that anything less than maximum points could significantly affect the outcome of the remainder of their campaign. Having recently drawn 2-2 away to Napoli, Roma are now just 2 points ahead of Atalanta, which means they risk failing to qualify for Europe altogether given the fine lines in terms of competition placements at the moment. At home, Roma boast the third-best stats in Serie A, having registered 11 wins, 3 draws, and suffered 3 losses thus far.
Roma have averaged 2.11 goals per game at home this season, with over 2.5 goals arriving in 58.8% of those encounters (10 out of 17)
Juventus is currently 3rd in the league, trailing AC Milan by 5 points in the race for second place. The Old Lady visits Stadio Olimpico after registering yet another draw. This weekend’s 0-0 result at home against AC Milan means they have now drawn three consecutive games in the league, as well as five of their last seven overall in the same competition. Given the congestion at the top end of the table, Juventus has yet to secure their place in Europe and may regret dropping so many points at such a significant period of the season. However, they do hold a 6-point buffer over their opponents this weekend, which could prove to be crucial come the end of the season. Away from home, Juventus boast the third-best stats in the league, having registered 8 wins, 5 draws, and 4 losses overall.
Juventus have averaged 1.41 goals per game away from home this season, with over 2.5 goals arriving in 52.9% of those encounters (9 out of 17).
Head-to-Head
Juventus won the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier this season with Roma winning 1-0 in this fixture last season.
Verdict
This is a difficult game to call given how impressive Roma have been under the guidance of Daniele de Rossi. Home advantage certainly has to come into the equation and given both teams have yet to secure European aspirations a tightly contested encounter is likely to follow.
