There are two Serie A matches taking place on Monday night and we suggest a bet in each of them.
FROSINONE v EMPOLI – Click here to bet
Frosinone are currently 12th on the log, but with just 1 win in their last 5 starts. They are coming off back-to-back away defeats, 4-3 at Cagliari and 2-1 at Bologna, but their last home game was a 2-1 win over Verona. Overall at home this season they have won 3 and drawn 1 of their 5 matches.
Empoli are currently second from bottom of the log with just 2 wins in 10 matches. Those 2 wins have come in their last 5 starts though although they are coming off a 3-0 home defeat to Atalanta last time out. Their last away game was a shock 2-0 victory at Fiorentina, a game where they started 13/2 underdogs, but they have lost their other 3 away matches this season.
Frosinone are 23/20 for the victory with the draw 5/2 and Empoli 12/5 underdogs.
I don’t feel I can back either of these sides with a lot of confidence and I think the draw is a big runner here.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 5/2

TORINO v SASSUOLO – Click here to bet
Torino are currently 13th on the log with 3 wins and 3 draws in their opening 10 matches. They got a valuable away win last time out when they beat Lecce 1-0 and their last home game was a 3-0 defeat to Inter Milan. They have battled at home this season winning only once in 5 starts with 3 draws and 1 defeat. In Torino’s last 5 League matches both teams to score, ‘no’ backers would have collected profits on each occasion.
Sassuolo are currently 14th on the log with 3 wins and 2 draws from their opening 10 matches. They are sliding down the table and they have only taken 2 points from the last 12 they have played for. Their last match was a 1-1 home draw against Bologna and on the road this season they have taken 4 points from a possible 12.
Had you been backing over 2.5 goals in each of these teams’ matches you would be struggling as Sassuolo only have a 40% hit rate while Torino have only had 3 of their 10 games reach the 3 goal mark.
Last season Sassuolo won this fixture 1-0 and the sides drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture.
The draw once again appeals as good value here, but I am going under 2.5 goals, a result which would have arrived in the last 4 head-to-head meetings between the sides.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 17/20
