The Serie A starts this weekend and we take a look at 4 of the games from a betting angle.
Inter Milan are the current favourites at 37/20 to win Serie A with Napoli 2nd in the betting at 28/10. Juventus are 7/2, AC Milan 5/1 and you can get 11/1 and better the balance.

Empoli v Verona – Click here to bet
Empoli finished 14th in Serie A last season and they are 9/4 shots to get relegated this season. They last played in the Coppa Italia Cup going down 2-1 to Cittadella and prior to that played a number of friendlies to get ready for the new season.
Verona were also in Cup action on the weekend beating Ascoli 3-1. They are coming off a disappointing 2022/23 season where they narrowly avoided relegation on goal difference.
Empoli are priced as 15/10 favourites and Verona 2/1. My fancy here is the draw, a result which has landed in the last 3 meetings between the sides.

Inter Milan v AC Monza – Click here to bet
Inter Milan finished 3rd in Serie A last season, finishing strongly with 4 wins in their last 5 games. They have been in good form in their friendlies in the lead up to the season, winning 4 and drawing 1 of 5 matches.
Monza finished 11th on the table last season, but rather limped over the line with back-to-back defeats in their last two matches. Monza looked sharp in their pre-season friendlies and they drew to AC Milan in their last warm-up fixture before going down 2-1 to Reggina.
Monza stunned Inter in this fixture last season winning 1-0 at a price of 13/2, but I am expecting Inter to get their campaign off to a strong start with a win by more than a goal here.

Sassuolo v Atalanta – Click here to bet
Sassuolo were 13th in the League last season and they booked their spot in the next round of the Coppa Italia Cup with a 5-2 extra time win over Cosenza last weekend.
Atalanta were 5th on the log last season and have qualified for the Europa League Group Stages. They have been very active pre-season playing 7 friendly matches, winning 5, drawing 1 and losing 1.
Sassuolo have beaten Atalanta in their last 2 League matches when playing at home and I think they look nicely priced to make it 3 in a row.

Udinese v Juventus – Click here to bet
Udinese finished 12th on the table last season losing their last 4 matches in a row. They were in Cup action on the weekend winning 4-1 at home to Catanzaro and generally looked in good shape in their friendly fixtures.
Juventus finished 7th last season, a result which qualified them for the Europa Conference League qualifier. Their last warm-up match was a goalless draw at home to Atalanta and they also beat Real Madrid 3-1 at home in a friendly earlier in the season.
Juventus won their last 3 matches against Udinese and last season won home and away by 1-0.
Udinese are capable of pushing Juventus, but I am going to back the away team to take all 3 points.
