KAIZER CHIEFS vs RICHARDS BAY – Click here to bet
Kaizer Chiefs have started their season on the front foot, sitting 2nd on the log after consecutive wins which have seen them collect 6 points from two games.
Their most recent fixture resulted in a narrow but well deserved 1-0 home victory over Polokwane City, where their defensive structure once again held firm and they found the crucial breakthrough with 10 minutes left on the clock. Having scored three unanswered goals so far, Amakhosi are looking solid and will be motivated to continue this winning run of form.
Richards Bay, on the other hand, are near the bottom of the table in 15th position after two defeats in their opening fixtures.
Their latest game resulted in a 1-0 away loss to Golden Arrows, where despite showing good discipline defensively for large parts, they conceded late and failed to find an equaliser. With an aggregate of one goal for and three against, the KZN side are under early pressure to avoid a relegation threatened campaign.
Head-to-Head:
These sides met twice in the league last season where the first game was won 2-1 by Chiefs at home, the second and most recent matchup saw Richards Bay run away with a 2-0 victory in front of their own supporters. Prior to that they met in the 23/24 tournament where each team won 1-0 at home.
Betting and Verdict:
Kaizer Chiefs are favourites at 1.83, the draw is priced at 3.13, while Richards Bay are further back at 6.00.
Given the contrasting starts to the season, Chiefs should be too strong at home and I can see them keeping Richards Bay goalless while claiming another triumph.

DURBAN CITY vs GOLDEN ARROWS – Click here to bet
Durban City have been one of the surprise packages in the early stages, topping the leaderboard heading into the 3rd round after picking up two wins from two.
Their last match concluded in a gritty 1-0 home victory over Chippa United when they clashed just under a week ago and they showed composure, as well as control to secure all three points after finding the back of the net in the 88th minute of play. With 6 points collected, three goals scored and none conceded, they look like a well-oiled unit who are determined to make an impression in their returning Premiership campaign.
Golden Arrows find themselves in 8th on the table with 3 points after two matches, having won one and lost the other.
Their last action took place on Wednesday and saw them edge Richards Bay 1-0 on home soil, bouncing back from their opening match defeat. With two goals scored and three against them, Arrows will be eager to display a consistent performance in what will be a tough away fixture, and they will look to draw first blood and stay on top.
Head-to-Head:
These teams have not gone head-to-head in recent years with their last encounters taking place between 2022 and 2023 when they met in the Premiership. The most recent result was a 1-0 win for Durban City on the road and before this Arrows beat them 2-0 away from home.
Betting and Verdict:
Durban City are priced at 2.38, with the draw at 2.75 and Arrows trading at 3.90
With Durban City flying high, they look well placed to extend their winning start.
