Mamelodi Sundowns sit 1st on the table with 38 points from 17 matches, level on points with Orlando Pirates but ahead on goal difference. They have recorded eleven wins, five draws and just one defeat, scoring 27 goals while slipping only 8.
Their recent run of form has been excellent. They secured a narrow 1-0 away win at AmaZulu which followed an impressive 2-1 victory away over Orlando Pirates. Prior to that, they defeated Sekhukhune 2-0 in the reverse fixture and comfortably beat Orbit College 2-0 at home.
Sekhukhune United occupy 3rd position overall with 32 points from 18 matches. They have claimed nine wins, five draws and four defeats netting 19 goals and conceding just 10, highlighting their defensive organisation.
Recent results show consecutive wins, beating Orbit College 2-0 and edging TS Galaxy by a single goal away from home. However, they did fall to Sundowns in their most recent head-to-head meeting and were held to a goalless draw by Orlando Pirates prior to that.
Head-to-Head:
The reverse league fixture in January saw Sundowns secure a 2-0 away triumph. Before that they met in the Nedbank Cup 2025 where Sundowns won 1-0 and last seasons league meetings resulted in 3-0 and 4-2 triumphs for the Tshwane outfit.
Odds: Mamelodi Sundowns 1.47 | Draw 4.00 | Sekhukhune United 8.50
Verdict:
Sundowns have been relentless at home and boast both the best attack and one of the best defensive records in the league. Sekhukhune are organised and competitive, but the head-to-head dominance of Sundowns is hard to ignore. With confidence high and momentum firmly on their side, I believe the reigning champions look set to secure another important three points.

Marumo Gallants vs Durban City – click here to bet
Marumo Gallants are 14th on the log with 15 points from 18 matches. They have managed three wins, six draws and settled for nine defeats, finding the back of the net 12 times while conceding 24, which indicates their struggles in both boxes.
Their recent form has been poor. They suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat away to Orlando Pirates, lost 1-0 at home to AmaZulu and were edged out by a single goal against Kaizer Chiefs. They were also beaten 2-0 away to TS Galaxy, with their only recent positive being a 1-1 draw against Magesi late last year.
Durban City sit 6th on the leaderboard with 28 points from 18 matches, having recorded eight wins, four draws and six defeats. They have scored 17 goals and let 13 in at the back, showing a solid balance between attack and defence.
Recent performances have been encouraging. They secured a 2-0 home victory over TS Galaxy in their latest test, claimed a 1-0 win against Polokwane City, and produced an impressive 3-0 away triumph over Orbit College. Although they did suffer a 2-0 loss to Chippa United a month ago, they appear far more consistent than their hosts.
Head-to-Head:
Durban City won the reverse fixture earlier this season 1-0, while previous encounters have produced draws and narrow scorelines.
Odds: Marumo Gallants 3.15 | Draw 3.00 | Durban City 2.60
Verdict:
Gallants are struggling for form and confidence, particularly in attack. Durban City have shown greater stability and defensive discipline. With momentum on their side and the hosts in poor form, Durban City look the better value option in my opinion.
Bet: Durban City to Win at 2.60
