The South African Premiership weekend action kicks off on Friday the 31st of October with two key fixtures under the lights. Durban City host Kaizer Chiefs in what promises to be a thrilling encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, while Siwelele look to climb away from the bottom of the log when they welcome a confident Sekhukhune United side in Bloemfontein. Below, we break down both games from a betting front.

Durban City vs Kaizer Chiefs – click here to bet
Durban City currently sit 5th on the table with fifteen points from 10 matches and have shown flashes of quality throughout the season. Their 3-1 win over Magesi and a hard-fought 0-0 draw away to Stellenbosch showed defensive stability, though their recent 1-0 loss to AmaZulu last time out highlighted inconsistencies.
They’ll look to bounce back at home, where they’ve have been unbeaten across all four outings, picking up three wins and drawing the remainder.
Kaizer Chiefs enter this clash unbeaten in three games but have drawn all of those. Sitting 4th with sixteen points, Chiefs continue to struggle in converting chances, having scored just eight goals in nine matches and their latest action resulted in a 0-0 home draw to Siwelele last week.
They are well positioned in the standings but would no doubt be eager to get their goal scoring touch back with a dominant win on Friday.
Head-to-Head:
The last time they clashed was in the 22/23 league where Chiefs edged a 3-2 victory on the road, prior to that they claimed a 2-0 win in their last Nedbank Cup meeting and a 3-0 home success earlier on in the 2022 league season.
Odds: Durban City 3.25 | Draw 2.80 | Kaizer Chiefs 2.60
Verdict: Chiefs’ superior quality and experience in big fixtures should be enough to edge a determined Durban City outfit. I am expecting a close contest but picking Chiefs to get the win.
Bet: Result – Kaizer Chiefs to win at 2.60

Siwelele vs Sekhukhune United – click here to bet
Siwelele remain in 15th place with eight points after 10 games and have managed just two wins this season. Their 0-0 draw at Chiefs last week was a morale boost, following a 1-0 win over Gallants and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates.
At home, they’ve been tougher to break down but still lack cutting edge in attack, having scored only four goals all campaign.
Sekhukhune United are in solid form, sitting in 2nd with twenty points from 9 matches and they’ve been one of the league’s most consistent sides, losing just once all season and possessing a goal difference of +9.
Their 1-0 win over Golden Arrows and a composed 3-1 victory away to Kaizer Chiefs in September showcased both defensive organisation and attacking fluency, however, they enter this match off the back of their 1-0 away loss to Polokwane City a few weeks back.
Head-to-Head:
This will be the first-ever meeting between Siwelele and Sekhukhune United in the Premiership.
Odds: Siwelele 3.00 | Draw 2.70 | Sekhukhune 2.90
Verdict: Sekhukhune’s form and attacking quality give them the upper hand against a Siwelele side struggling to score. A professional display from the visitors could see them take a high scoring win here in my opinion.
Bet: Result and Totals – Sekhukhune United and Over 2.5 goals at 7.75
