Stellenbosch are currently 7th on the log, 2 points behind Kaizer Chiefs, but with 3 games in hand. Their last game was a 1-1 home draw against Sekhukhune, prior to that they beat AmaZulu 5-0 on the road.
Chiefs are coming off a 2-2 home draw with AmaZulu and that was on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby.
These sides met back in August of last year with Kaizer Chief winning 2-1 at home and they have a good recent record when travelling to Stellenbosch, winning their last 2 visits.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS v ORLANDO PIRATES
This is without doubt the clash of the weekend and will have a massive bearing on the title race. Sundowns currently top the log, 6 points ahead of Pirates who have a game in hand.
Mamelodi Sundowns have won 13 of their 14 matches, losing only 1 and incredibly they have scored 31 goals while conceding just 5. Orlando Pirates have won 11 of their 13 games and scored 25 goals while conceding 6.
Sundowns last action was against SuperSport United in the Tshwane derby where they won 3-0. Prior to that they beat Golden Arrows 4-0 at home. They have now won 9 successive league matches.
Pirates are coming off a 2-1 away win over Sekhukhune and a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs when they got an injury-time penalty to clinch the match.
These sides last met in the Nedbank Cup in June of 2024 with Pirates winning 2-1 at Sundowns. Last season in the league this fixture finished 1-1 and Sundowns won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Pirates.
