The PSL continues this weekend and we look at three of the fixtures including the Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates from a betting angle, offering up some possible bets for your consideration.
SATURDAY
KAIZER CHIEFS vs ORLANDO PIRATES – Click here to bet
Kaizer Chiefs have been on poor form in the back end of their 2025 campaign and they have been unable to claim victory once across their last 6 fixtures. This puts them in 9th on the table, level on points with Chippa United and Marumo Gallants.
The last time they hit the pitch was on Saturday where they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Marumo Gallants despite being at home.
Orlando Pirates have had a consistent season and they have played 21 times, winning 15, drawing 1 and losing 5 of their clashes but they still remain in 2nd on the table.
They took on an in-form Sekhukhune side on Wednesday night and although they were firm favourites, they lost the match 1-0 on home turf.
Head-to-Head
These teams met in February where Orlando Pirates won the game 1-0 and that was their 4th successive win over Chiefs in all competitions.
Betting and Verdict
Kaizer Chiefs are trading at 3.30 with Orlando Pirates 2.30 and the draw is at 3.00.
Pirates have dominated recent meetings and an amazing stat is it has been 18 matches since the sides played to a draw. It almost landed last time out with Pirates winning via a 96th minute penalty. Surely that run without a draw ends this weekend.
BET: The Draw at 3.00
CAPE TOWN CITY vs MAMELODI SUNDOWNS – Click here to bet
Cape Town City are in 15th place on the table, currently within the relegation playoff zone after their terrible run of form over the last 2 months or so.
They have gone winless for their last 12 games of which they have lost 8 and drawn 4, which has caused them to rapidly fall down the table.
Their last encounter was against Richards Bay on the 18th when they narrowly lost 1-0 on the road.
Mamelodi Sundowns have been superb across their 23 fixtures, holding onto their dominant form for nearly the entire season. They have won 19 of their games with 1 draw and just 3 losses.
Their most recent match was a dominant 3-0 win over Richards Bay when they met on Wednesday in front of a Sundowns home crowd.
Head-to-Head
These sides went head-to-head twice in the previous season where the first game was drawn 0-0 at Sundowns and the second game was won 1-0 by Cape Town City on the road. The last time they played Sundowns won 3-0 at home in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
Betting and Verdict
Cape Town City are priced at 6.00 with Mamelodi Sundowns 1.55 and the draw 3.90.
City don’t look like they are in a position to trouble Sundowns who have only conceded 13 goals all season.
BET: Result and Both Teams to score – Sundowns and No at 2.20

SUNDAY
TS GALAXY vs RICHARDS BAY – Click here to bet
TS Galaxy have had a solid season with 8 wins, 10 draws and 8 losses. They are in 5th on the table after 26 games.
They last match they played in was against Sekhukhune on the 27th of April where they hosted and drew the match 1-1.
Richards Bay have somewhat turned their season around after a shaky start, however they are still in 13th place overall due to winning 7, drawing 5 and losing 13 of their matchups.
They faced off against Mamelodi Sundowns a few days ago where they were unable to find the back of the net and lost the game 3-0 on the road.
Head-to-Head
Richards Bay won the last head-to-head match 1-0 in September last year in the reverse fixture at Richards Bay and before that they met in the 23/24 premiership where both games were drawn.
Betting and Verdict
TS Galaxy are the 2.10 favourites with the draw trading at 2.95 and Richards Bay at 3.90.
I think that this will be a competitive match between the sides and TS Galaxy will edge a win.
BET: TS Galaxy win at 2.10
If you are looking for a bigger price consider TS Galaxy to win by exactly 1 goal at 3.50 (Handicap TS Galaxy -1 the draw)
