There are 4 DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Wednesday and we suggest a bet in each of them.
Mamelodi Sundowns have wrapped up yet another PSL Title and Cape Town Spurs will be relegated, but second place is still up for grabs and the Top 8 positions are still to be finalised.
GOLDEN ARROWS v MAMELODI SUNDOWNS – Click here to bet
Golden Arrows are 11th on the log and on a poor run of form that has seen them fail to win any of their last 5 games. They were beaten 3-0 away at Stellenbosch last time out, but are undefeated in their last 3 home matches.
Sundowns have cruised to yet another PSL Title and have yet to be defeated in 24 matches this season. They hammered Kaizer Chiefs 5-1 on the road last time out, but despite the job being done they seem intent on finishing the season strong.
The last two head-to-heads hosted by Golden Arrows have seen under 2.5 goal backers collect profits and given they are still in Top 8 contention I am expecting them to fight hard for this one, a game where they would be more than happy to come away with a point.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 1/1

ORLANDO PIRATES V CHIPPA UNITED – Click here to bet
Pirates are 3rd on the log and if Stellenbosch slip up they could still finish 2nd. They have won their last 4 matches in succession and last time out beat Cape Town City 2-0 on the road.
Chippa United are currently 10th and still very much in the Top 8 mix. They had put together a 3 match winning run, but have subsequently lost 2-1 to AmaZulu on the road and 2-1 to Swallows at home.
Orlando Pirates are one of the form teams in the Division and they are 4/9 for the win here with the draw at 7/2 and Chippa priced at 7/1. I am going to have a go at Pirates winning this game by more than 1 goal.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Pirates -1.5 at 12/10
POLOKWANE CITY v RICHARDS BAY – Click here to bet
Polokwane are 9th on the log and will have their eyes set on a Top 8 finish. They got a much needed victory away at Cape Town Spurs last time out, winning 1-0 to break a 5 match run without a victory.
Richards Bay are 15th on the table and barring a highly unlikely sequence of results are set to contest the relegation playoffs. They picked up a much needed 3 points last time out when they beat AmaZulu 2-1 at home, but they have only won once on the road this season, scoring just 7 goals in 12 matches.
I am a bit confused by the betting in this game which sees Polokwane and the draw trading at 2/1 and Richards Bay as the 15/10 favourites despite the fact that they haven’t taken a point from their last 5 matches on the road. I will argue that Polokwane have more to play for here and will back them at what looks a cracking price.
Suggested Bet: Polokwane win at 2/1
STELLENBOSCH v AMAZULU – Click here to bet
Stellenbosch are the form team in the PSL behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who beat them in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals on the weekend and were also the last team to beat them way back in September of 2023. They have won their last 3 including a 3-0 home win over Arrows last time out and any point here would secure them 2nd spot for the season.
AmaZulu are 12th on the log, but very much in the congested Top 8 fight. They lost 2-1 away to Richards Bay last time out and have only won twice on the road this season.
Stellenbosch beat AmaZulu 1-0 on the road in the reverse fixture and I am going to back them to get their 3rd successive victory over AmaZulu.
Suggested Bet: Stellenbosch win at 15/20
