All 8 DSTV Premiership fixtures kick off at the same time on Saturday and we select three of the games to have a bet in.
As we head towards the end of the PSL season there is not much that has still has to be decided, although 2nd place is still very much a heated battle between Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates and the finalisation of the Top 8 places is also going down to the wire.
At the bottom of the table, Cape Town Spurs are relegated, but Richards Bay have given themselves a chance of avoiding the promotion playoffs with a strong run of form over the last few weeks.
KAIZER CHIEFS v POLOKWANE CITY – Click here to bet
Kaizer Chiefs are currently occupying 8th spot on the log and there is a real log-jam of teams behind them. They are coming off consecutive draws away to AmaZulu and at home to TS Galaxy and both teams have found the back of the net in Kaizer Chiefs last 4 matches .
Polokwane City are 9th on the log, on the same number of points as Kaizer Chiefs. They are unbeaten in their last 3 and are coming off successive goalless draws at home to Sekhukhune and Richards Bay and they haven’t conceded a goal in their last 3 matches.
Head-to-Head
Kaizer Chiefs edged the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier in the season.
VERDICT
This should be a competitive match and there isn’t much between the sides and I can’t have Chiefs at 17/20, given their inconsistencies this season. I think the draw stands out as the value here.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 23/10
STELLENBOSCH v MAMELODI SUNDOWNS – Click here to bet
Stellenbosch currently sit 2nd on the table, 1 point ahead of Pirates. They suffered their first League defeat, since going down to Sundowns in September 2023, when they lost 2-0 on the road to Swallows last time out and those 2 goals were the first they conceded in 3 matches.
Sundowns have long wrapped up the title and have not lost a game in 27 matches this season. They beat Royal Am 2-0 on the road last time out, but have only conceded 4 goals in 13 away matches.
Head-to-Head
Sundowns beat Stellenbosch 3-1 in the League earlier this season and in their most recent encounter they beat Stellenbosch 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup.
VERDICT
Stellenbosch have had an exceptional season, but I can’t resist backing a Sundowns team who clearly want to keep their unbeaten record and may just be playing a team that has run out of steam.
Suggested Bet: Mamelodi Sundowns win at 21/20

TS GALAXY v ORLANDO PIRATES – Click here to bet
TS Galaxy are currently 5th on the log, but they are without a win in their last 4 starts and have drawn their last 3. All of those games though have been on the road and they have won 4 out of their last 5 home games.
Orlando Pirates are 3rd on the log and 1 point behind Stellenbosch. They reeled off 5 successive victories before their last game to Richards Bay where they were stunned 1-0 by the visitors who could be backed at 11/2 before the kick-off.
Head-to-Head
Pirates beat TS Galaxy 1-0 at home earlier in the season and they did the double over Galaxy last season.
VERDICT
Galaxy are 9/4 for the win with the draw 2/1, but I am going to go for Pirates to put that Richards Bay match behind them and win this game at 15/10.
Suggested Bet: Orlando Pirates win at 15/10
