SATURDAY
VALENCIA v ATHLETIC BILBAO – Click here to bet
Valencia are currently 8th on the log, but on a good run which has seen them win their last 3 matches in succession. They beat Cadiz 4-1 on the road last time out and their last home game was a 3-1 win over Villarreal, a game where they started 12/10 favourites. Overall at home this season they have only tasted defeat twice in 9 matches and they have only conceded 5 goals in these 9 games.
Athletic Bilbao are 3rd on the log and also on an impressive run which has seen them win their last 4 games and go unbeaten in their last 10. They beat Real Sociedad 2-1 at home last time out and their last away game was a 2-0 victory over Sevilla. They are undefeated in their last 4 away matches and they have only lost twice in 9 matches on the road this season.
These sides drew 2-2 in the reverse fixture earlier this season and Bilbao did the double over Valencia last season.
This should be a cracking game, but I am backing Bilbao defence to be the difference and I am looking at an away win.
Suggested Bet: Athletic Bilbao win at 12/10

REAL BETIS v BARCELONA – Click here to bet
Real Betis are currently 7th on the log and they broke a 5 match winless streak when they beat Granada 1-0 at home last time out. They have yet to taste defeat at home this season with 6 wins and 4 draws in their 10 matches.
Barcelona are 4th on the log, 8 points behind leaders, Girona, but having played a game less. They have won their last 2 games away at Las Palmas and at home to Almeria.
Barcelona were comfortable winners in the reverse fixture with a 5-0 hammering of Betis and they have won this fixture by exactly 1 goal the last three seasons.
Barcelona are the 5/6 favourites for the match. The two bets I fancy here are both teams to score, yes, at 4/6 (would have arrived in 6 of the last 7 Barcelona League games) and Barcelona to win by exactly 1 goal at 29/10.
The both teams to score price is a bit short for me and I will opt with the handicap play.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Barcelona-1, the draw at 29/10
GIRONA v SEVILLA – Click here to bet
Girona are the surprise leaders with just 1 defeat in their opening 20 games. They played out a goalless draw away to Almeria last time out and their last home game was a thrilling 4-3 victory over Atlético Madrid, a game where they started 16/10 favourites. Overall at home this season they have played 10 winning 8, drawing 1 and losing 1. They have won their last 3 home games in a row.
Sevilla are hanging just above the relegation zone in 17th spot and they have only won once in their last 10 starts. They are coming off 3 successive defeats at home to Alaves and Athletic Bilbao and away to Atlético Madrid. They have only won once in 9 attempts on the road this season.
Girona won 2-1 at Sevilla in the reverse fixture and they also did the double over Sevilla last season.
The hosts are showing no signs of slowing down and I am going to back them to bank another 3 points.
Suggested Bet: Girona win at 15/20
