SATURDAY:
BARCELONA vs MALLORCA
Barcelona sit top of the standings with 55 points and have looked clinical in recent weeks. They come into this clash after a comfortable 3-1 away win over Elche, which followed a routine 3-0 home success over Oviedo the previous week.
They have been ruthless in attack scoring 60 goals in 22 matches, while remaining solid enough at the back to control most contests with ease due to conceding only 23 goals.
Mallorca are 14th on the log and have endured an inconsistent campaign which leaves them on 24 points. They did produce an impressive 4-1 home victory over Sevilla last time out but prior to that they were swept aside 3-0 by Atletico Madrid.
Defensively the visitors remain vulnerable having let 34 goals past the keeper in 22 matches and they have now lost three of their last five encounters while winning the remainders.
Head-to-Head
The teams met earlier this season where Barcelona ran out 3-0 winners away from home, while last term they claimed 1-0 and 5-1 victories over Mallorca as well.

Barcelona 1.16
Draw 8.50
Mallorca 15.00
Verdict
Barcelona’s firepower and Mallorca’s defensive issues point to a one-sided affair. I believe the hosts should control possession and create plenty of chances and based on previous meetings, it is difficult to see the visitors resisting for long.
BET: Asian Handicap – Barcelona -3.5 at 3.25

SUNDAY:
ATLETICO MADRID vs BETIS
Atletico Madrid are 3rd on 45 points and have had a relatively consistent run this season. The side remain extremely hard to break down, slipping just 17 goals all season which gives them the best defensive record in the division.
They were held to a goalless draw against Levante during their most recent match but had won two in a row prior to that without conceding.
Betis occupy 5th place on the leaderboard and are enjoying another strong campaign. They bounced back from a 2-1 defeat to Alaves with a 2-1 home win over Valencia and have been competitive in most of their recent outings.
In terms of away performances Betis have battled to build momentum and have settled for seven draws while winning two and drawing two of their games, which indicates a lack of cutting edge.
Head-to-Head
Atletico won the reverse fixture 2-0 earlier in the season and also claimed a convincing 4-1 success when these sides last met in Madrid.

Atletico Madrid 1.59
Draw 4.25
Betis 5.25
Verdict
Atletico’s defensive organisation should frustrate Betis, while I think the hosts possess enough quality to edge the contest. Goals could be at a premium with the Madrid side likely to control proceedings.
BET: Atletico Madrid to Win and Under 3.5 Goals at 2.60
MONDAY:
VILLARREAL vs ESPANYOL
Villarreal possess the 4th spot on the table and had a solid run throughout the tournament. They were involved in a 2-2 draw to Osasuna on the road last weekend which came after they settled for a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid.
At home they have been impressive, winning the eight of their eleven matches while scoring freely with 23 goals netted in front of their own supporters and only 9 conceded.
Espanyol sit 6th overall and have experienced a dramatic drop in their level of performance over the last month. They arrive on the back of three straight defeats, conceding 7 goals in the process against while finding the back of the net twice.
Their away record has been inconsistent and defensive frailties have begun to creep in during their last few fixtures. Their latest action came on the 30th of January where they narrowly lost 2-1 to Alaves at home.
Head-to-Head
Their clash in November resulted in a 2-0 Villarreal triumph on the road. Last season they met twice where Villarreal won both matches with 2-1 and 1-0 scorelines.

Villarreal 1.71
Draw 4.00
Espanyol 4.50
Verdict
With Espanyol struggling to get back into the winning column and Villarreal strong at home, the hosts should be able to handle this fixture without an issue. The visitors have leaked goals recently while scoring themselves and I believe this match will feature goals at both ends with Villarreal earning a win.
BET: Result and Both Teams to Score – Villarreal and Yes at 3.50
